I had never made spaghetti sauce without my trusty jar, so this was really easy and so-o-o good. Everyone enjoyed it. I added about 1/4 cup of red wine during the one hour simmer time, too. Served with garlic bread, a green salad, and a glass of merlot...this was totally fulfilling! Thanks a lot.

My family LOVED the sauce. Only thing I did differently was use half ground beef and half Italian sausage, just because we like a little kick to our meatballs! Otherwise, the sauce was really great. I did also cook mine in the crock pot on low for several hours while I was away, which seemed to really enhance all the flavors and made it nice and thick!!! GREAT!!! Had some extras the next day to make meatballs subs!!! WOW!! We will definitely ONLY use this recipe from now on!!! Thanks so much Sheri-BDB!!!

We're STUFFED! It took a while to make but boy was it worth it!! Everyone loved the meatballs and the sauce sure is much better then the store bought. I used Mediterranean Basil leaves in the meatballs and sauce I think it really added to the overall flavor. I served five of us and there is still enough sauce for another meal. Thanks for the recipe Sheri it is a KEEPER!

It was great I left out bay leaves and it was still the best recipe for this that I have tried. My husband who hates leftovers took it to work for lunch two days in a row. Thanks for a great recipe.

I have always been scared to make this from scratch, for no good reason... I LOVE THIS! We all loved it. Excellent, not complicated, wonderful meal. Thanks!

You're better off buying a jar. This recipe was not worth the effort. It had a tinlike taste to it. Proably from all the canned items used. Also, it didn't have enough flavor. The meatballs were pretty good, but not great.

Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!Only sub was white bread in place of bread crumbs. thanks for a new tasty sauce! Did NOT have a tin can taste!?!wow....most sauce does use canned tomatoes, paste, etc.... I will enjoy this and hope others wouldn't be put off by a review previously.

Made the sauce and added meat instead of meatballs. My entire family loved it. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks!

Family loves it!!!!The meatballs are great when they first come out of the oven. It is hard not to eat them before putting them in the sauce.
