Great! I had tried other recipes and they were all too runny. This was perfect. Thought the mustard was weird, but it tasted great.

I used plain yogurt instead of sour cream, put it through the blender (i used fresh dill and didn't want whole herbs in there) and it was excellent! I've always used yogurt for middle eastern dishes, so I couldn't bring myself to use sour cream!

This tasted good as is, although for my taste, I found the garlic salt made the sauce too salty, so on second attempt substituted garlic powder for the garlic salt. I also added more cucumber and substituted lowfat plain yogurt for the sour cream. With these adjustments Gyro Sauce #57747 is now a permanent addition to my recipe rotation.

YUM! This was the perfect recipe to pair with "Greek Chicken Pita Pockets - Crockpot!" by ~Bekah~! It was a very straight forward and simple recipe that gave great results! There were two things I did that were not in the instructions; I seeded the cucumber and then pureed it with my hand blender. I also added a few tsp. of "Greek Seasoning" I found from a specialty store. We also used it on some leftover roast beef. Excellent! My husband is already asking for it again! Thanx for sharing!

I made mine with a little less garlic powder than the garlic salt that was called for as I never have garlic salt on hand. It was great. I was looking for a recipe that didn't use greek yogurt and this one was perfect. We even ate the leftovers with potato chips. MMMmmm

Very Very tasty! Super easy to make. (I too seeded the cucumber) I wanted to try to make gyros. Having never done so before I was hopeful but a bit anxious of the results. I was very satisfied because they tasted just like one of the local greek resturants. (I used this with "Gyro Meat" #81048)Again Very tasty!
