6 Reviews of Green Tea Sorbet

I made this recipe back in early June, but have only gotten around to reviewing it now. This sorbet was part of our Shavuot holiday meal. We started out with a dairy appetizer and then a fish course, then had this refreshingly simple sorbet to cleanse the pallet. Then we switched tablecloths, and dinnerware over to chicken and vegetables. All our guests were impressed with the sorbet. I used a local brand that had lemongrass in the green tea mix, it really lent a lovely flavor to the dish. Thanks Aviva, you made our Shavuot special (people are still talking about the chalavi/basari switch!).

This is really worth a sky of stars! Giving you only 5 is breaking my heart, but that's the max., so I have no choice, but let me tell you, I have a total dislike for green tea, but this green tea sherbet is so delicious, that it has now made me change my mind. It is beautiful! I would call it an "Elixir of life"! I can now be free of tension as to how I'd use up my green tea box Thank you for sharing this recipe

delicious. I used 5 green tea bags instead of real tea leaves, and added 1 cup milk to make it more creamy and reduced the sugar to a scant 2/3 cup. Came out wonderful, fresh and perfect for a hot summer day. Thanks

I googled 'green tea sorbet' to find the ratio of tea to water to make this for a luncheon I was hosting (I used it as a pallette cleanser like the other poster). The only difference was that I used a scant 3/4 c. sugar, instead of the amount in the recipe. Everyone loved it! Very refreshing.

I used this for ice blocks. The kids and I all love it and it was very quick and easy to make up.

Yummy! I really enjoyed this! Just the right blend of flavors. I did use Splenda, so reduced to 2/3 cup. Delicious! Thank you for posting! I will make this often!!! Made for Comfort Cafe 09
