A very good salad. I made it just like you directed, no substitutions. This makes a great savory, creamy sandwich spread. I suppose if you wanted to eat it as a salad, you could add maybe a chopped apple for a different flavor and texture. I really liked this, and I will use the recipe again. Thanks for sharing.

Yamma, I am also in Jax and used to work at Publix when I was a teenager (which wasnt that long ago!) and I know what salad you are talking about! Made this for lunch and it was great. I think next time will use a bit more tarragon but is great as is. Thanks!

We really enjoyed this chicken salad and I also made it a few hours ahead of time. However, I used fresh Tarragon from my herb garden. . . ahhhhh. The sliced almonds adds a wonderful crunch to it also. I really appreciate you sharing this, Yamma. Thanks so much.

Wonderful chicken salad that we enjoyed wrapped in whole wheat tortillas. Will add some dried cranberries, celery and apple to the leftovers and enjoy a "new" salad tomorrow.

This salad was a different taste for me. I would have never thought of mixing in the almonds with the chicken. It gave it a nice crunch. Tarragon is a new herb for me also. After it all was made and done it tasted a bit bland so I added salt and pepper to taste. I let it sit for a day and it tasted alot better as the flavors had melded together. I think I would use this recipe in a mini sandwich platter for an afternoon tea. Thanks for sharing.

Thrilled to find this recipe on zaar. I have always loved Publix's tarragon chicken salad and to be able to make it myself is awesome. Thanks for a great recipe!

I really liked this but my DH wasn't fussy for it. I liked the crunch of the almonds and found the tarragon gave it flair.

Loved this! Did add a bit of salt and pepper. Served as a wrap on spinach herb tortilla. Great summer meal!

Excellent recipe! Thanks so much for posting this. I love Publix's Tarragon Chicken Salad, but it costs so much. I tried this recipe today and it tastes exactly like the deli made variety!

Wow! I'm THRILLED that I stumbled upon your recipe. I've always been an avid Publix shopper and it wasn't until I was recently on vacation in Pensacola that I discovered the Almond Tarragon Chicken Salad — in the Publix deli. We bought one small container of it and took it, along with other meal items back to the hotel for an afternoon lunch. I immediately feel in love with it! I wanted more! The next day, I went back to Publix and bought at least 4 more containers. And since arriving home from vacation, I can't stay away from the deli area, as I'm always buying 6-8 containers each week. I made your recipe tonight and I'm completely AMAZED as how consistent the taste is....WOW! I made LOTS of it....now, I'm wondering if it would be okay to freeze, for those times when I crazy it, but don't wish to be in the kitchen? Thanks again.....sooooooo delicious! Jason Cleveland, TN
