This bread came out with a velvet-like texture and a wonderful homey flavor. I did the whole thing in the bread machine on the 1.5 lb. setting and it worked out great. Served with home-made chicken noodle soup and the whole family loved it. Made toast with it this morning and that was pretty good, too. Thanks for sharing!

I have made this in the bread machine and out of it. Great both ways. I used bread machine flour for the 3 cups and whole wheat flour for the 1/4 cup and it was still light and delicious!

I did side by side tests to see which came out better. My bread machine or my kitchen aid. I found that they mixed up better, rose better and the crust was softer with the kitchen aid mixer. In the end they both tasted the same, was wonderful soft and awesome as french toast the next day. I used Corn syrup in the place of the honey, kosher salt and used all purpose flour. This will be a good one to make for my picky MIL. Thanks so much for sharing!

This will definitely be my bread of choice from now on. The texture is perfect. I love the slightly sweet taste of the honey. I subbed 1 cup of whole wheat for the bread flour. I did everything else as the recipe stated. This deserves 10 stars. I am going to try this with 2 cups of wheat flour the next time as it had a very light texture with the 1 cup of whole wheat that I added. Thanks Iva Day.

I didn't have a bread machine so I just did it the traditional way. It was very delicious and the bread was nice and fluffy. One day I might experiment and add more honey and see if that makes it sweeter, although it's perfectly fine the way it is now. Thanks!

Wow - this bread is wonderful! I had to add a bit more milk but I think it is because it is a very dry day here. I followed the recipe exactly except for the addition of extra milk and am so pleased with the results! My only concern was that my loaf rose very high in the oven, but it turned out perfect. Delicious, chewy bread. This was a very easy recipe to make. I'll be making it time and time again!

This has to be one of the best bread recipes I've used. It's great for bread, rolls and especially good for cinnamon rolls!!! Wouldn't change a thing!!! Thanks.

Lovely white bread recipe. I ran out of milk, so I used about 3/4 c of buttermilk instead. Also, I used just 1 tsp yeast as that's all I had on hand. Beatiful soft texture. There's about a third of the loaf left, which I'll use for french toast in the morning. Thanks for posting!

First of all I didn't have the bread machine to mix it and then I found out I didn't have bread flour so used self-rising flour instead and made it and kept my fingers crossed! Well it was DEVOURED! Between DH and my three DS, there is none left. I had one slice and it is so good. I will definitely be making this bread again.
