This is a simple, handy recipe. I cut the sugar in half and added fresh garlic and onion, sliced black olives, and a splash of red wine. Nice over some angel hair pasta. Thanks Junebug.

Love, Love, Love this sauce! I was planning on using another sauce from this site, but realized at the last minute that it needed to simmer for 2 hours. I decided to go with this one and I'm glad I did! I cut the sugar down to 2 tablespoons as I was a little hesitant and it seemed perfect. From now on, this will be my go to sauce!!

This recipe is especially good because you can keep all the ingredients on hand for weeks. I've enhanced the flavor slightly by using extra virgin olive oil, and a very thin layer of "original" style grated parmesan cheese, which melts over the top in the microwave (the lower fat versions of grated parmesan cheese don't seem to melt and are hardly lower in fat!) To make it even easier, I add canned chicken or tuna to the sauce before cooking. I make 4 servings according to the recipe, or double it and store the leftovers in the refrigerator. Very convenient, and above average in flavor.

This is an awesome recipe: quick, easy, and very yummm! I made the sauce as is, but sauted some carrots, bell papper, onion, and mushroom on the side in olive oil, dashed some basil, garlic powder, and onions onto the crisp-tender veggies and added it to the sauce. Finally, I added a little cooked chicken, cubed. This made a wonderful chunky sauce that my husband and I couldn't get enough of!

Okay, so I have to say that I was really skeptical about a "speedy" Spaghetti Sauce recipe but I needed one because my DD and her fiancee were coming for dinner at the last minute and I wanted to make Makes Your House Smell Amazing Chicken Parmesan. And as far as taste, I will NEVER buy sauce in a jar again, and likely no other sauce recipe!! UPDATE: Since my first review of this in June 2007 I continue to make this really easy and delicious sauce for every dish I make that calls for tomato sauce. Thanks for the great recipe JuneBug!

Cut the brown sugar down to 2 tablespoons and hubby doesn't like tomatoey red sauces, I know he's crazy, so I added 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and he just RAVED about it all night long. It was very very good, thanks so much.

This is delicious! My family loves it. I had leftover meatloaf, so I cut it into meatball-sized pieces and added it. I used 1/2 TBSP sugar. I didn't have any canned tomato sauce, so as a substitute I took a can of tomato paste and added enough water to equal a cup of sauce and used that. I also used fresh parsley.
