Delicious! I made it with a pre-made shortbread crust. Next time, I'm going to use an Oreo Cookie crust and a mini muffin pan to make individual tartlets for a Memorial Day picnic. Thanks for the recipe, Thomas!

This recipe randomly came up while I was searching for something else, and I'm sure glad it did. I had never heard of buttermilk pie before, but just loved this! It was like a pie-full of sweet, creamy, buttery custard... it was great warm AND after being popped into the fridge. Perfect recipe!

I follwed the recipe to the letter, except I took the advice of some others and only used 1 cup of sugar. It turned out great, so pretty just the golden brown that you want, almost like a creme brulee. First impressions when I tasted it, I saw hollyhocks, peonies and an old english cottage garden. don't ask why...lol It is reminiscant of a lingering flavor long forgotten, and it reminds you of something but you are not sure what, but regardless you revel in this pure bliss. and while you are still trying to figure out what this taste reminds you of another piece bites the dust. Heaven on Earth that's what I call this. My husband and Motherinlaw, who both loath buttermilk, loved the pie. this will be a regular dessert in our house. thank you so much for sharing this heavenly recipe. edited to add: I have since made the pie about once or twice a week, and it turned out beautiful every time. This is such a great recipe and so super easy.

Wow this was incredible! So tasty and pretty. I used two regular sized pie shells, and added a touch of coconut and lemon rind on the top. Thanks so much, everyone loves it! Might try a mini-muffin version for appetizers...

This pie is awesome! A little on the sweet side, but perfect with a nice cup of coffee. So creamy!!! I plan to make this many more times in the future. Thank you for a simple and delicious recipe with buttermilk.

Okay. This is the most incredible pie I have ever had. BY FAR my favorite. I enjoy it best frozen. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

I had buttermilk left from another recipe I needed to use so I decided to give this a try. I only had a regular pie crust (yes I use those frozen premade things) so I made 2/3 of the recipe and it fit the crust just right. I reduced the cooking time at 350 to 35 minutes. Had a piece still warm with my morning coffee and it was yummy.

This reminds me of my grandpa's delicious buttermilk pie. I took the liberty of adding some diced strawberries . It was divine! I can't wait to have some for breakfast in the morning

GREAT PIE AND VERY EASY! I sprinkled a little bit of cinnamon and sugar on top of the second one I made for a little different taste. THANKS FOR SHARING!

This pie was great! The name sure doesn't match the taste though. This pie tastes like pecan pie without the pecans. Very quick and easy to make. I found this recipe totally by accident while searching the ingredient list so I could use up some leftover buttermilk; I sure glad I did!
