Crystal, This is a great recipe,we tried it the other night, and loved the way the meat stuck together,it wasn't as sloppy as taco's usually are but it had the good Mexicn flavor it should have too. Thanks we will absolutely use this recipe every time we make taco's Darlene Summers

This had a wonderful texture and flavor for taco meat. I used 97% lean beef, half whole wheat and enriched white flour and heaped up on the chili powder. I am going to try next time to cook the meat separate and drain to cut down on the fat... I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you for the recipe.

We loved this Taco Meat, even though I didn't use it for traditional tacos! I doubled the recipe and made enchiladas one night, then a couple of nights later made taquitos from the leftover meat. The only change I made was to use onion powder instead of minced onions. Not only was this easy to make it is delicious and it will be my go-to recipe for my gound beef tacos, enchiladas, burritos and taquitos from now on!

I usually buy McCormick's taco seasoning in a pouch, but forgot it this week and tacos were on the menu! This was a good substitute. I thought it would be spicy, but it really wasn't. The flavor was good...great for kids, and so easy to make!

Nice. Since these ingredients are all items we stock anyway, there's never a need to buy taco mix again. I think I would add a little more chili powder but that's just for my taste. I was especially impressed that the consistency was similar to when you buy tacos out.

This was a good taco meat. We all enjoyed it and as another reviewer said, it wasn't as sloppy. The meat stayed in the shell(which was good for my 5 yr old). I will continue to use this as my taco recipe since it wasn't as salty as those store bought pkgs. Thank you.....Stephanie

At one of our pot luck dinners, we decided to have Tacos so I offered to make the taco meat using your recipe. It turned out wonderful and everyone loved it. The combination of ingredients makes this the perfect flavored taco meat and I agree with Darlene it is not runny and sloppy as other taco meats can be. Easy to put together too. I am going to make up a batch to freeze so I always have some on hand. Thanks CrystalA, for sharing this. It's wonderful.

This is really good. I browned the ground beef first, and drained the grease off. I used only 1/8 cup flour, and blended the seasonings with the water, then added it to the pan. This is as good as the packaged seasoning mixes. It also definitely was more convenient than having to go to the store for a package of taco seasoning. Thank you for such a good & easy recipe.
