I liked these as long as they were topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips. They would have been even better with fresh strawberries and bananas, but I didn't have any on hand. In order for me to LOVE a pancake recipe though they have to taste great all by themselves, and I didn't like these very well plain. I think if I had mixed in some mini chocolate chips like some of the other reviewers did they would have been much better plain. But....I was trying not to add too much extra fat & calories, so I was hoping they'd be good all by themselves. All in all a good Saturday brunch, but next time I will be sure to have the strawberries and bananas to top them with!

Beautiful and delicious pancakes. Thanks for posting this. My husband and I got to escape for a weekend and had the use of our friends cabin. I made these for a romantic breakfast and it was stunning to look at and scrumptious tasting. I highly recommend this for any romantic occasion. I sprinkled with powdered sugar, topped with some whipped cream and a few sliced strawberries.

Delicious! Sure made my little men feel special. Served with diced mango/ pineapple/ kiwi/ mandarin oranges/ banana and topped with Cool Whip. Beverage was Yummy Orange Slushies from this site. MMMMMMMMM, what a combo! Would love to have used fresh strawberries but didn't have them, but will put them on my list and make these AGAIN AND AGAIN! Thanks for posting!

good pancakes, i will use whip cream next time for a topping, and maybe add more sugar to the batter.

Wow! Great recipe. I made some changes to make it a little more guiltless: subbed whole wheat pastry flour, used 1/3 cup Splenda & subbed applesauce for the butter. After trying the recipe, as is, which was delicious-I added 1 1/2 mashed banana, which made it even more delicious! I also tried adding 1/4 cup mini choc chips & it was also a great addition. I loved how versatile this recipe was to allow me these changes & not sacrifice the taste I was looking for. I omitted the powdered sugar & it works fine, for anyone watching their sugar intake! Sugar free maple syrup adds enough additional sweetness! Thank you for sharing.
