I never made drop biscuits before and had a few secret doubts. You made a believer out of me; they turned out great.I used butter instead of shortening and put the flour, baking powder, salt and the butter in my food processor, whirling it all around until it got crumbly. Then I added the milk and just gave it two seconds to barely blend. Had them for lunch with a nice big veggie salad. I'll keep this recipe to make again....thanks for sharing.

I was looking for a 'hurry up' biscuit recipe, and this was it! I didn't want the fuss of rolling and cutting out dough, and these biscuits were quick and easy! I used butter instead of shortening, and I skipped the step of sifting the flour. (but the biscuits were fine!) I was very careful not to overmix the dough in step 3, to ensure they would be tender, not hard. When they were cool, I placed them in a small wicker basket before serving. These complimented our turkey dinner beautifully, and I'll be baking these again! Thanks, CookbookCarrie!

Wow, good! I made two batches: one savoury one sweet (3/4 c sugar + raisens) Both very delicios. Nice golden crust outside, moist and tender inside. I used shortening and serve them with a slab of butter. Nice bite size. Highly recommended!

Always wanted to make biscuits just like mom, who doesn't measure! Used buttermilk instead of regular milk. Used Crisco, and might try butter flavored crisco too. Floured my hands and patted dough lightly into shape and baked with sides touching in a greased cake pan instead of dropping. Wonderful!

These are sooo good!! I dropped them onto a greased cookies sheet and they were great! Melt a little butter w/ a little honey & brush the tops. They taste just like Cracker Barrel biscuits.

These were a great basic drop bisquit recipe. I might add a little more salt to the dough next time for some added flavor, or use butter instead of shortening. Didn't use muffin liners and they came out just fine. Thanks for the recipe!

I added garlic powder and grated cheese to this and ended up with 8 biscuits. My DH ate 4 before I could get them on the table. An excellent and easy recipe. These will be made often. Thanks. MaryL
