I made these at New Year and should have tripled it, the vanished so quickly. I will make these often all through the year, I know.

I had such a hard time finding cherry tomatos I went to 3 grocery stores! Guess that is something to add to my garden next year. Anyway I served these for a party and they were gone in a an instant. I actually only tasted one. I thought they were really good and I used shredded cheddar in the recipe. Also I added a tiny bit of kosher salt to the tomatos to keep them firm before adding the stuffing. I made the mixture the night before and stuffed a couple of hours before the party. I thought this was an easy to make recipe. I did serve them in the summer so I do think that would make a difference in the quality of this recipe.

A great idea to serve with cherry tomatoes, but a recipe that requires patience to prepare. I used almost a full cup of mayonnaise and a parmesan romano cheese blend. I made the mixture the night before, scooped out the tomatoes the next morning, and filled tomatoes a few hours before taking out. I used my vegetable peeler that has a sharp, pointed edge to scoop out the tomatoes which made it fairly easy. I tried filling a plastic bag with the tip cut off to fill the tomatoes, but the bacon bits wouldn't come out of the tip easily. I ended up using my fingers to stuff the tomatoes. Everyone liked the taste of this appetizer. Very cute appearance once plated. Next time I will spoon the mixture on toasted bread/crackers topped with half a cherry tomato to save time.

I liked these. It's something different than veggies and dip and they are bite sized. Using larger cherry tomatoes makes scooping easier. I sliced the tops off, then used a small melon baller.

These are delicious! Just made a batch to take to a friends pool party, they might not make it as you can't eat just one. Will use this recipe often. Thanks

I had this same recipe from my aunt and misplaced it... thanks for posting it on Zaar! I made these yesterday for a Father's Day cookout, and everyone loved them. At the first grocery store all I could find were the tiny grape tomatoes- and they were very hard to stuff. So, finally, I went to another grocery store and found slightly bigger tomatoes (ping-pong ball sized) and those worked out much better. My advice: it's definitely worth the time/effort to go to another store and find the larger tomatoes.

Found these awhile ago, but just got around to making them. Are they wonderful!!! Will definately make again and everybody wanted the recipe. I didn't see the melon baller hint for scooping. I'm sure that's easier and will try that next time.

These were just okay. The recipe sounded like it would be very tasty. The reviews were raving, but they didn't do anything for me or my husband. I made them exactly like the recipe; they were very pleasing to the eye, but when we bit into them we were very disappointed. I was looking for an appetizer I could serve to a group of people, but I am going to continue looking.

Great recipe! I used Parmesan cheese and fresh cilantro. It was fabulous. I used tomatoes that were a little larger than cherry tomatoes. I plan to use these at my next gathering on a deviled egg platter to add some color. Thanks for sharing!

I've been using this recipe for several years now. These little stuffed tomatoes are delicious! To make scooping the pulp easier, use a strawberry huller and the jobs a breeze! Although I normally use Parmesan cheese, I think American cheese works well too!
