I take the seasonings and combine them in a shaker. I keep them on hand and use it on everything! To get a great marinade out of it, mix the seasonings, coca-cola & olive oil and pour over steak or chicken and let sit, I let it go at least 8 hours. Raves every time! Thank you for submitting this awesome recipe!

This does taste like outback steaks!! I enjoyed my steak dinner tonight. Thank you. I did reduce the salt to 6 teaspoons. I also did not have tumeric handy... so I made it without. I will continue to grill my steaks like this. Loved it!

It's all about the RUB....I have searched for a great rub for a while now..... for steaks. I've also tried many of the store flavors...This is THA ONE....a really good one. It will be MY SECRET RUB from now on...

I'm sold. I absolutely love this recipe. My whole family thinks this is the way steaks should taste! Only Shasha's rub for my steaks from now on!

This was very good, but I've never had a steak at Outback that tasted like this. Two things, way too much salt for our tasted and a little less pepper spices. This could have been my fault for using heaping teaspoons instead of level ones. Definately a different rub, but a very good one! Thanks for posting!!

Great steak, but the only knock against this recipe was the salt. We love steak, but this was a tad bit salty. My kids even refused to eat it. Maybe halve the salt to make it better.

very very very nice..ALTHOUGH I cut way way back on the salt( & I am a salt lover) I used 4 INSTEAD of 8) micht cut back to 3... I'd suggest starting with 3 salt keeping everything else as is.. then mixing and tasteing... if you want more salt you can always add a bit & taste..till it is as salty as you like didn't have a nice juicy steak.. but boy did it flavor my cube steak!!! brought the poor little cube steak to a great new level

This used some interesting spices. I didn't think it tasted anything like Outback's, and it was too spicy (the cayenne overpowered the other flavors).

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! This absolutely delicious! I have actually made the seasoning in abundance and keep in a spice jar for convenience. I have passed it on to my family and would just like to give you a review of what my son had to say which is....."I tried out this Outback steak seasoning recipe that my mom gave me (I felt like a chemist, mixing together all of the spices it requires!)... I bought a steak this morning because they're on sale and I wanted something quick to eat. I put on the seasoning and WA-POW! damn that stuff is good... I didn't load it up as much as they do at Outback, but it put just the right amount of spice in a steak to make it so good... SO GOOD!"... Well done and many thanks for posting. It has and will be enjoyed again and again!

I am a butcher and am very picky about my seasoning, This was a huge hit, However I recommend cutting back on the salt a bit !
