I made Rita's recipe using a bag of dry garbanzos which I cooked according to the package directions. A bag of garbanzos costs less than a dollar and makes enough beans for a triple recipe. It was easy and so much more economical than buying ready-made hummus. Jim

Easy and delicious! I spread the hummus on a plate, and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, then garnished with a sprig of parsley and a sprinkle of paprika. The ingredients are right on...I didn't change a thing! Thanks for a great recipe!

This was wonderful! I used two whole cans instead of the two cups, added a bunch more garlic than this called for, roasted red peppers, chives and a little white pepper and it was FABULOUS! My whole family loved it! Just a note for others, this makes quite a bit of hummus. My estimate is that I got about four cups the way I made it. Very good recipe!!

WOW! This recipe was sooo easy, and delicious to boot! I added a little more garlic and a little less tahini to suit my own taste but it would have been great as-is.

This is very delicious, I think I'll add more garlic next time, the texture and flavor are otherwise impeccable!! Thanks for a great recipe that my 2 & 3 yo daughters love as much as I do

We've never had Hummus before. Just got a new vita-mix and thought I'd try it with that. I ended up using a food processor. The only adjustment I made was I used dry chick peas and cooked them in the pressure cooker. WOW this will be a staple in my house from now on. We ate this on homemade whole wheat bread from the vita mix, then with whole wheat from the bread machine. Thank you for sharing this.!!!

This was delicious... The garbanzo beans have a skin on them, so I popped them out of their skins to get a smoother blend. Thanks!

Great texture and flavor. Note- 1 can of beans equals 2 cups. I did have a hard time getting it to move through my blender so I added a little water to get it moving. Would have added more oil bit that means more calories!
I also doubled the garlic- I love it garlic-y! thanks Rita for a great recipe. So much cheaper than premade store bought and better tasting!
