The flavor of the pancakes was wonderful--but the batter is extremely thin and almost watery--so the finished pancake was very thin--almost crepe like instead of what I expected a breakfast pancake to be--I sought some advice, and was told that in the future, perhaps cutting the milk back to 1 cup would help the batter not be so watery..for crepes, I would use the recipe " as is". I'm giving five stars because I feel that flavor is what counts, not looks--and the flavor here is worth the effort of adjusting the milk next time--the batter is quick and easy to mix up, and as I said, the taste is wonderful!!! I hope others try this recipe, being careful of the milk amounts, because I'm sure they will enjoy the flavor!! TERESA

These pancakes are amazing! The first time I made them my husband asked me to please stop searching for pancake recipes. The only variation I do is I brush the butter on the pancake while it is still on the griddle and quickly sear each side with the butter.

These pancakes are so wonderfully comforting. The proportions are perfect. Although I made them in the middle of the summer (with 90-degree heat outside), it felt like I was little again, watching snowflakes through the kitchen window and waiting for my mom to make this delicious treat. This recipe is a fantastic classic. Thank you!

These pancakes taste really good. I did cut down on the milk as TGirl,RN had suggested because I like a thicker pancake. I probably used about 1 cup plus 1-2 Tablespoons of milk. They turned out great. Thanks for sharing.

very tasty and simple. I might cut the salt just a little as I found mine a bit on the salty side but otherwise this was a great recipe

Excellent recipe! My picky eaters love this. The only suggestion is start w/1 cup of milk and see how the batter looks to you. Other than that, you can't go wrong w/these.

Dianne, Your recipe is awesome. These are the best pancakes I've ever made. I had to use 2 egg whites instead of a whole egg, and I used veg. oil instead of butter. Reason being, our colesterol is high and I have to be very careful. Didn't change the fact that these are the best. Thanks for posting your recipe. Mare

Excellent flavor, light and fluffy! I did not find this batter to be at all thin . Dianne, I am sure all faces were smiling when sitting down to your Granny's breakfast table : ) I made this recipe combining all ingredients in the blender to a perfect consistency. The pancakes browned beautifully and were immensely enjoy and devoured by all! Thanks for sharing your recipe and your memories, Dianne : )
