This was such a great salad! I very rarely eat cabbage, basically only in Asian food and cabbage rolls, and I loved this. I used Napa cabbage and scaled it down a bit for one. I also added a bit of slivered red bell pepper since I had it around. I mixed the dressing a little bit by trial and error trying to scaled it down but it was perfect. I thought about just using chow mein noodles but did the ramen and they were so nutty and crunchy from being browned. Thank you for posting. Had to add that if you're wanting to make this to take somewhere, keep the dressing, chickenm, crunchy noodles and nuts separate from the veggies so nothing wilts. I make it for myself and just keep everything separate until I'm ready to make a serving then I just assemble it. When I pack it for lunch I keep everything in zip bags and put it together at lunchtime. Works great!

SOOOOO good and easy. I have been making it once a week since I found the recipe and everyone who tries it wants a copy. I leave out the chicken entirely- it doesn't need it. Yummy on it's own! Thanks for posting.

Yummy! I've had lots of variations of this and I love this one. I made 1/2 recipe and it actually made enough for at least 6 side dish sized portions. I omitted sunflower seeds for personal taste, used a small can of cooked chicken, 1 bag of packaged coleslaw mix (with carrots), and proportions were great. I did let the dressing sit about 1/2 hour to let the sugar dissolve. Great amount of dressing. I just wish the noodles stayed crispy as leftovers because I'd eat it all week!

This was very good! I did add some hot pepper flakes and 3 cloves chopped garlic. I wish I had some cilantro It would be nice to have some in the salad. I made 1/2 the recipe and was enjoyed!

This was sooo good! I've made it twice now, each time using 3 oven-roasted chicken breasts (which was a lot of chicken). The almonds and ramen noodles really give this salad a great taste! I've tried it both with and without extra dressing and prefer this salad with a single batch of dressing. It's just the right amount to be able to taste it but not enough to leave a big puddle of dressing at the bottom of the bowl. The dressing is nice and sweet and tastes yummy! This is a definite keeper! Thanks for posting!

Good! Ideal for using chunk tuna also or no chicken or tuna! I did not use almonds this time. My hubby gets tired of so many almonds. I used a little more sunflower seeds. I saved the flavoring packets to make with egg noodles and egg drops. Thanks for posting!

Very good! A single batch of the dressing was just the right amount for our taste. I liked the nutty flavor the toasted ramen noodles and almonds gave this. I tossed the ramen noodle seasoning in with the dressing for an extra little "something". I couldn't see just throwing them away.

This is nice and sweet with a bit of crunch. I made it easy on myself and used 2 bags of Cole Slaw mix which also included some slivered carrots and red cabbage to give it even more color AND I also used 1 large can of cooked chicken breast and just dumped it in. Both worked out great and tasted just fine. My aunt used to make this and I lost the recipe so was glad to find it here! Thanks Tulip!

Brought this salad to a dinner at friends...It was a hit! I cut back the oil. And burnt the noodles (Then discarded them) I added the "browned" noodles just before serving. They stayed crunchy that way. Now my friend is joining Recipezaar! Keep the good recipes coming!

I've been wanting to try this recipe because I've tried some at potlucks and this one was great! A few tweaks: I used Broccoli Slaw that was in a bag to make half the recipe, instead of salt I used the season packet, instead of sunflower seeds I used sesame seeds, added a little sesame oil for fun. Next time: it was a little dry for me, so I think I will add some soy sauce and more rice vinegar and more green onion. Thanks for sharing! We loved it!
