This is a good recipe I made as stated, using two large chicken fillets (600 grams worth) which I cut into quaters. The recipe is easy and tasty. However a word of warning, this dish is very garlicky. Next time I would probably halve the amount of garlic. As I said it was delicious, the garlic tastes great in the recipe - I just felt like I needed to wear a gas mask for the rest of the night
The only extra step I added was to strain the sauce through a fine sieve before serving as my herb mix is sort of chunky.

Wonderful - the aroma was terrific and the chicken came out moist, tender, and absolutely delicious. I loved the sauce especially. I wouldn't hesitate to serve this to company - for such a simple dish to prepare, this one was very impressive. I happened to have some white balsamic vinegar in the house, so I tried that instead of the usual red balsamic - it was wonderful. Thanks!

The first thing my dh said when he walked in the door was "Wow! That smells awesome!" I had to agree! The recipe is so easy to follow, and the chicken is indeed tender and moist. The sauce with little bits of garlic and herbs was perfect for dipping bread. Thanks for a great recipe l! We loved it!

This recipe is fantastic!! My family was "MMmmmMMMMM'ing" and "yummmmmmmmmmmmmm'ing" throughout the meal lol
I ended up having to add some more broth as it was cooking down too much when covered. I added about 1/4 cup more broth..give or take. I used a mixture of chicken and vegetable broth. This is just marvelous. The garlic is perfect... we love garlic!!!
Thanks for the recipe! Will be making this again

I wanted to try something new for dinner and decided on this recipe. I can not begin to tell you what incredibly wonderful smells were coming from my kitchen. I follow this recipe to the letter with the only exception of I only cooked down the sauce for about 3 minutes so that there would be plenty of the sauce for dipping. I served this with sticky rice, roasted asparagus and crusty bread. DH took one bit of the rice with the sauce and said it was delicious, next he tried a little on the bread and decided rice was not needed. We really enjoyed this one! Thank you!

Absolutely delicious!!! The flavors are incredibly similar to that of chicken adobo, so dh was very excited, lol. The sauce is soooo good over rice. Thanks so much for posting a great dish that will be a regular in this house.

This was quick and easy. I used 1/2 oil and 1/2 butter to brown the chicken and it was beautifully browned. The sauce was easy to make. I reduced it, and did not add the butter. I served it over mashed potatoes, and the sauce complimented the creamy potatoes beautifully. The balsamic flavor was not as strong as I expected. Delicious overall! I have had this in my cookbook for a long time and wish I had made it sooner. Thanks!

Leeannr, this recipe is a keeper! I have been meaning to make this for ages and just now got around to making it. I used a recipe from Zaar for the herbs de provence. I didn't have any lavender for that, but I'm certain that isn't a huge deal. This was easy, aromatic and inexpensive. The chicken was fork tender. The sauce, with the combo of balsamic, garlic & herbs, is wonderful. I think I could eat it with a spoon! I served this with some yellow rice and had seconds (red face) Thanks for sharing, loved it!
