Very good Rita, Dh loved the clam chowder. We really like the flavor of the Old Bay Seasoning in it.The recipe is a real keeper.

Great soup for a cold's winter night. I made it for an informal dinner party with some friends. I served it with a bread platter and a big Mango salad. I didn't have any Old Bay Seasoning, but it was still wonderful. I used more vegtables than in called for to make it go further. Even the kids loved it, now that says something. This chowder doesn't call for bacon. Yahoo, we don't need the fat! Thanks so much for the great recipe! It was great!!

The chowder was good, and we enjoyed it, but the corn totally overpowered the clams. I felt that I could have done without them and no one would have noticed. I would rather have used them in a real clam chowder recipe. But again, I must say that the corn chowder aspect was delicious.

Delicious and hearty chowder! It's one of the best chowders I've ever had. The corn gave it a nice sort of sweetness. I used green bell pepper in place of red and frozen corn for the 1 can of whole corn. I'll definitely make this again. Thanx for sharing it!

This was a great clam-CORN chowder recipe, which is what I was looking for. Didn't have leeks on hand. Used 1can evap. milk and 2 cups skim milk. Thickened with corn starch Also loved the fact that there is no bacon, my husband doesn't eat pork. My whole family loved it and I will make it again. If you aren't looking to taste the corn, choose another recipe without it in the recipe title.
