I had this dish at Macaroni Grill the other evening and said to myself: I can make this at home! This recipe was almost identical! Quite tasty. I take away one star only because I recommend cutting down on the chicken by a lot. Probably one chicken breast would do it for me. Pretty much every bite had chicken in mine and I would prefer more sauce and less pasta. I used bow-tie pasta instead.

This dish is awesome! Wish I could rate higher. It tasted almost exactly like the original version from Mac Grill. Next time, I will cut the chicken into small pieces and mix together with the sauce and pasta. I may also try with bow-tie pasta. The suggestion to add mushrooms sounds good too. I can't wait to make this again! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

I made this tonight, but made the mistake of substituting evaporated milk for the cream. It curdled very badly. I put the sauce in the food processor and it ended up tasting very good, but not looking so great. So, I don't want to rate the recipe, just warn others not to substitute as I did!

This was absolutely wonderful. The only change I made was to cut the chicken breasts into strips instead of leaving them whole. DH praised it, and he only does that if he REALLY loves it.

Love Love Love it, although i subbed 1/2 and 1/2 for the heavy cream and double the sauce. I also pounded the chicken thin and coated it with a mixture of garlic powder, black pepper and salt then fried it and sliced it. I stuck the chicken into a warm oven while i prepared the sauce in the same pan, using the pan juices from the seasoned chicken. it added an extra depth of flavor IMHO! AND I only had to dirty one pan! I also subbed fettucine for the angel hair pasta its what we had on hand! Its a regular on our rotation! Thank you!

This was excellent. I added mushrooms to it and left out the pasta, because of our Atkins Diet. It was just as good with out it. I will be making it again, definitely!!!

I used non-dairy coffee creamer mixed with milk instead of real cream. Normally I wouldn't have made such a confession, but IT WORKED! This is my favorite dish at the Macaroni Grill and I have tried other copy-cat recipes, but never with these results. I love it!

This tastes exactly like Macaroni Grill Pasta Milano. Only changes I made to make it more like the restaurant: use farfalle/bow tie pasta, chop chicken into bite size strips or chunks, add sauteed mushrooms. YUM

This dish was good! I did make more sauce than called for and was glad that I did. I used chicken tenders and they were great with this. I also used some of the oil from my jar of sundried tomatoes. Next time I would use the bow tie pasta as others have said, along with some mushrooms, toasted pinenuts and a little shredded parmesan. But a very good and easy meal! Thank you AlabamaGirl71 for posting.
