62 Reviews of Cinnamon Oranges

From: Charishma Ramchandani

On Jan 14, 2003

WOW! I really love these cinnamon oranges. It's important to powder the cinnamon very fine in a mixer for this recipe. We(dad and me) had this at lunch this afternoon for dessert. I used Navel oranges, came out very sweet and "addictive" to be honest. The combo of cinnamon with these oranges went very well. Easy to fix, eggless, healthy and tasty - it's got everything you need and look for in a recipe - EXCELLENT DISCOVERY, Friedel!

It doesn't get much simpler than this and the cinnamon-orange combo is wonderful, with the cinnamon bringing out the orange's natural sweetness. Pays to have a light touch with the cinnamon.

I overlooked this recipe for a while like others who reviewed these oranges. I finally tried to have with our meatless Monday dinner. They are really good and the cinnamon gives the oranges a different twist.

We really liked this combo. How fantastic, the cinnamon really compliments the fruit. As a WWatcher I love the fact that it gives me another way to eat my fruit, and mix it up a bit. Thanx for posting.

I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could. I brought this to my parent's house as the healthy dessert to go with a fancy meal. It was a nice sweet but light ending to the desert. I used blood oranges and granny smith apples. The sweet and sour combo was really nice as well.

I tried this with Valencia oranges, which are very sweet & juicy. It wasn't bad, but personally I just like the taste of oranges without the cinnamon.

I have had apples and cinnamon many times before but for some reason have never thought of orange and cimmanon. This is great! My orange was nice and flavourful and sweet which I can see why it is important. Thanks for the quick healthy idea Sackville!!

OK, the thing I thing you should definitely add to this recipe is honey. I do it a alot at home and the juice of the orange with the honey and cinnamom is just delicious. Simply, before sprinkling with cinnamon, pour a couple of teaspoons of honey over the oranges (and apple if you wish).
