14 Reviews of Reindeer Food

I have used a similar recipe for many years with my children. This just adds to the excitement and joy of Christmas. We also sprinkle baking soda over my husbands snow boots, and then put them away. This leaves Santa's foot prints on the carpet by the tree, or by the Christmas Stockings.

This is such a great idea. I gave it away to my little nieces and nephews x-mas eve. They were so excited and greatful. If you have little kids to give this to, it's a must gift. Pretty cool.

Great fun! My 5 year old GD took it to all her friends at school for their Christmas Party. Now Santa's sure to find their house!

I made this today with my children and made a bag for our neighbors as well. The kids just loved it. I know your no longer with us Martha, but I still had to give your recipe a 5 star.

We've been sprinkling this reindeer food on our lawn for years! It works! Santa's reindeer can easily find our house, and they look forward to the treat while Santa is busy inside.

I made this for my 2 YO DD this year and my 11 YO niece who stayed with us for Christmas eve. We live in Florida, so I have to make sure that this stuff fades into the grass. It worked great! Everyone loved going to different sides of the house and sprinkling this in the wind! It was a really nice touch and I'm sure this will be a tradition from now on! Thank you!!

I did this slightly differently this year. We put the oats out in a bowl for the reindeer to eat and then when my girls went to bed I emptied the oats all over the lawn and then sprinkled the glitter everywhere. The girls love it in the morning waking up to find Christmas Reindeer glitter sprinkled everywhere.

I forgot to rate this at Christmas time. This was easy and my kids loved sprinkling it on the lawn. Thanks for such fun recipe.

What a cute idea! I wish I had kids so I could watch their faces as they sprinkle this on the lawn! But until then, I am making a batch to share with my BF's 4 year old nephew for Christmas. I can't wait to see his face as we read the poem to him. Thank you!
