A simply wonderful dish so reminiscent of my Polish grandmother's cooking. I was going to serve it with a grilled ham steak - but the cabbage and noodles were so delicious that DH and I wanted nothing else! While the peas add color, a sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley would suffice. Thanks Rita - this is not only a keeper - but - food for my Polish soul!

Ah, a taste from my childhood. My mother is a Galicianer, from the eastern part of Poland, and this was one of those throw-together dishes that she served every so often. Great comfort, yummy taste. We leave out the peas, and sometimes I flavor it with any of the following: fresh or dried dill, caraway seeds, poppy seeds, paprika. A winner all around.

Loved this recipe, used sugar snap peas instead of regular peas, this gave a wonderful flavor and better texture I think. Had leftovers for next day and added 1/2 cup drained and rinsed black beans for my serving. Made a complete meal. Nutritious, healthy, low fat and plenty of fiber. Will be making this one again.

Very good. Simple to make. I think I will halve, maybe even quarter the recipe next time though. I cook for two and this makes a HUGE pot! Thank you for posting.

SO quick to prepare and SO delicious! I used a whole savoy cabbage to the specified quantity of noodles and used unsalted butter (it’s what I always use) so I added a bit of salt. I also added 4 cloves of chopped garlic and about 8 ounces of button mushrooms; otherwise I made this exactly as directed. It made heaps, so some went in the freezer for other meals. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

This dish is a staple in every Polish kitchen! To make this a main dish, I like to omit the peas but add sauted, sliced keilbasa over the top. I serve it with rye bread and applesauce. Comfort food at its best!

Very easy and very good! I used snow peas. I also marinated some pork in soy sauce, honey and garlic, cooked it up and added topped the noodles with it. Delicious!! Nice combination of sweet and salty.
