This cake is absolutely wonderful! I made it as my daughter's birthday cake and it is out of this world. I took some to work, and a co-worker raved about it and said that it is much better than an expensive strawberry cake she bought from a bakery. This is also very, very easy to make. I highly recommend this recipe. I know that I will be making this many times in the future. Thanks!

This cake was delicious! I made it for my DH's birthday because he requested a strawberry cake. I didn't use the icing recipe...I bought some whipped icing at the store and beat in some drained frozen strawberries instead. My DH said it was "one of the best cakes I have had in years, if not ever!" So thanks!

The cake was AWESOME!!! The icing was a little runny and the butter was not to creamy. I wonder if it need more powdered sugar to make it more like frosting. But, it was good and all the people at my hubby's office ate it and asked him to bake another one!!!!

Out of this World !. I did add a small amount of shredded Coconut, and choped Pecans to the Icing. Five (5) Stars in my opinion.

YUM! I made this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and it was so good! Instead of the icing recipe that goes with it, I topped it with a whipped cream frosting and decorated it into an American Flag with blueberries and sliced strawberries (her birthday is on the 4th of July). I had requests from the party guests for the recipe

This is my favorite strawberry cake, and at big family gatherings everyone begs for one for their birthdays. One of my uncle's will twist my arm until I say "uncle" and he gets his own strawberry cake. LOL. I do add 8oz cream cheese to the frosting, but thats the only change I make in this wonderful recipe.

A former co-worker made this for me for my birthday and gave me the recipe. OUTSTANDING! I have since made this cake for current co-workers and it is now EXPECTED of me when a birthday approaches. Instead of the icing, I use milk chocolate frosting and top the cake with hand-dipped chocolate strawberries to make it really special. It is a HUGE hit!

I baked this for my strawberry-loving husband, and it was a hit. It is very much like one his mom makes. I followed the advice of Scrbeauty, and added 8 oz. of cream cheese to the frosting and it was EXCELLENT. It's good without the cream cheese, but oh so much better with!

This is the most delicious cake I have ever had!!!! I love anything strawberry though. Everyone who tried it loved it and now I have to make it again on tuesday for a co-worker's birthday. The only change I made was to use cool whip to frost the cake instead of the icing. DELICIOUS!!!!!
