I'm a 35-year-old bachelor with limited cooking experience, and even I can cook this dish! It's a terrific, very easy salmon recipe, even without the sesame seeds — I have always left out the sesame seeds only because I never have any in the house. The longer you marinate the salmon, the better it tastes. I have marinated it for as little as an hour and as long as 24 hours and it always tastes great, but longer is better. I highly recommend this recipe. Enjoy!

This is very simple and extremely good. Had every thing on hand. I used the left over, reduced marinade on green beans, delish!

I made this last night and it was very, very good! I bought three fillets and doubled the recipe. I marinaded the fillets for 2 hours and them I grilled them on Low for 5 minutes on one side with skin side down, then I took a spatula and turned the fillets without the skin and put them back on the skin for five more minutes. Then I put more marinade and a sprinkle of sesame on each fillet before serving (without the skin). Easy and Yummy!

What a great easy recipe!! My fiance loved it, and then loved it more the next day for leftovers!! The only thing I hope to see addressed is the missing portion of soy sauce- the ingredient list calls for a 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and the recipe instructions only calls for a 1/6 cup. Which is correct? Well, I used the full 1/4 cup and it came out fine, but I suggest that this error is corrected. Nonetheless, I plan to make this marinade many times for many dishes.

We all enjoyed this salmon dish a lot. Ended up frying the salmon instead of broiling, and it was still good.

This was amazing!! I added minced garlic to the marinade and let it sit for 8 hours. What flavour! The sauce needs to be watched closely because it carmelises fairly quickly I served it with basmati rice with lemon rind in it.

This was a fabulous dish that I will make over and over again. I agree with Frederick's review totally. The next time I make it though, I will allow for more generous portions since everyone wanted more. Thank you for sharing this recipe, Jacques!

Simple and delicious. Served with rice and steamed asparagus. Next time I'll make a little extra sauce for the rice.

Well, we were just not that thrilled. I even went out and bought very expensive real maple syrup. I followed as directed, using FRESH caught Alaskan Salmon from my Dad's fishing trip. Perhaps this would have been better on the grill, where I do most of our cooking. It was kinda boring and a tad dry without much flavor. I also marinated for 4 hours. Sorry.... net time BBQ!
