this was good, I have made it twice now. The second time I added a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple.

Was glad to find a jam recipe that didn't call for pectin, which isn't available here. My banana jam turned out to be the consistency of toffee. Delicious! 37 minutes was too long. I never did see the "track that closes slowly" so I kept on and on stirring. Next time I will take it off at 30 minutes. I too used some crushed pineapple like Karky as I didn't have enough bananas. Thanks for sharing.

Use 400g banana and 125g canned crushed pineapple. The juice i drained and use it in place of 1/2c water. cooked mine 45min before the mixture turned into mush. It gelled up nicely.

Even though it wasn't a great success with the rest of the family (all the more for me!) I've really enjoyed this jam.

This was ok, it turned out great, it just wasn't my favorite.... wouldn't make again but if you really like bananas give it a try... it is a different spread with an interesting flavour....
