My husband said to make this from now on! We all loved this. I scaled it down to feed 4 people and there were no leftovers! I used basil vinegar instead of tarragon cause that's all that I had, and since I didn't have buttermilk, I just added a little vinegar to regular milk. Worked like a charm! Thanks so much!!!

This is a winner, Ginny. I've never made cole slaw before, so this was a first. And it's also the last. The last recipe I'll ever need for cole slaw!
We loved it! I had tarragon vinegar that I was dying to use in something. So easy to make, but so delicious! Thanks Ginny!

An easy way to get the vegetables cut into KFC's tiny rice-sized pieces is in the blender. Just cut the cabbage, carrots and onion into large chunks and fill the blender about 3/4 full, then fill 3/4 full with water. Secure the lid well and pulse several times until the contents are the size you want. Pour through a strainer, and repeat with the remainder of the cabbage. Let it drain for 10 minutes or so, stirring a couple of times to make sure all the water drains off. You can do this with packaged cole slaw mix too if you want to get the pieces smaller. Very easy and saves a lot of chopping.

Ginny, this was scrumpdillyicious! Ok, that may not be a real word, but this is a great recipe. I loved just the hint of tarragon from the vinegar. This was a great accompaniment to Pulled Pork Sandwiches — a real winner. Thanks for sharing it.

Very good and it does indeed taste like KFC's, which I love. I used the pre-packaged cole slaw mix and substituted the sugar with 6 individual packets of Equal, though I probably could've only added 4 or 5. The only thing I would do differently next time is cut back on or omit the onion, as my family stated they could taste it right away. This was my first time making "homemade" cole slaw and by using the sugar substitute, this really fits into the South Beach Diet guidelines, which I am on. Thanks for posting!

It's unanimous my whole family gave this one 5 stars. We love KFC coleslaw and this one is the closest to it. I looked at the other KFC recipe and decided to try yours because it has tarragon in it and KFC's coleslaw does have tarragon in it. Thanks so much this one is definitely worth repeating.

Great recipe for coleslaw, very easy and delicious. I only used 3 tablespoons of sugar, but I like it less sweet. Thank you!
