This recipe was perfect! I am an American who lives in Yemen. We are in the month of Ramadhan, which is the fasting month. We must get up early before sunrise to eat, then fast all day. I was going to make pancakes this one morning and didn't have any mix left. I jumped online to recipezaar.com and found this recipe. I tweaked a bit by using regular milk because I was in a rush and I added 1 tsp. vanilla powder . Oooh my family loved it. I will never buy pancake mix again, thank you so much!

Loved this recipe! My husband said the pancakes tasted way better than my usual Bisquick pancakes. Instead of liquid buttermilk, I used two tablespoons of powdered buttermilk, because I tend to waste milk I don't use often, and the pancakes came out so fluffy and soft! I'm done with Bisquick...lol.

These are very good pancakes. I substituted applesauce for the oil and Splenda for sugar and they were wonderful.

My older daughters (9 & 10 yrs) wanted to surprise us with breakfast. They got up early and went searching through Zaar for pancake recipes and chose yours. It was so simple and straightforward that they were able to do them completely on their own, start to finish, and turned out great. They used reconstituted powdered milk in place of the buttermilk and it worked fine. They've printed out copies to put in their own cookbooks, so this is destined to be an often-used recipe around here. Thanks!

This has become my regular pancake recipe...with a couple of changes. I use a 1/4 cup of applesauce in place of the egg and vanilla soy milk in place of the milk. They are wonderfully delicious and wonderfully simple to make.

I made these in a pinch when I ran out of mix. They were so easy and delicious that I don't think I will use mix again! Thanks!
