This was great. My 5 year old even ate 2 bowls. I did add a can of Rotel and replaced some of the cheddar with Monterrey Jack cheese with Jalepenos. We like spicy food. It was so good my DH volunteered to bring some to work today for lunch. AMAZING!!

My family isn't big on soup (they're weird lol), but I had to try this recipe. I just cut back on the liquid and served it as a casserole. It turned out to be a very tasty stick-to-your-ribs meal.

My family and I thought this was very good. I added bacon and made it into bacon cheeseburger soup! YUM! I also did add a little extra cheese and I think next time I might try using velveeta. Serve with texas toast and this is a great winter meal! Thanks for the recipe!

What an amazing soup! Delicious... such a unique flavour and texture. I would have been like you ("yuck, cheeseburger soup") but I had faith in everyone's great reviews and gave it a shot. Only changes I made was putting it in a slow cooker after I'd let it boil in the frying pan for a bit (before I added the milk/butter) and then I used a Havarti/jalepeno cheese instead of cheddar. Can't wait for leftovers tomorrow.

This is a great soup! My family has always loved this soup and it always seems to "WOW" guest at my house, Only thing I do different is add 1 tsp of dried basil(when adding the parsley) and add 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/2 tsp salt when adding milk and cheese. After the cheese melts and I remove from heat I add 1/4 cup of sour cream (I've even used fat free sour cream) I usually double this recipe at our house. It doesn't last long

I've had this SAME recipe for years now. The only difference is that I use Velveeta instead of Cheddar, and we add 1/4 - 1/2 C. sour cream RIGHT before serving. My daughter (10 y.o. at the time) made this for last year's 4-H Food Revue, and impressed the socks off the judge! DD called it "Home-on-the-Range" Soup served with "Saddle-Blanket" Bread (focaccia bread), "Horse-Trail Treats" (carrot sticks), and "Clip-Clop Cocoa" (hot chocolate).

This is a thick and hearty soup. I didn't have potatoes so I added some small pasta to compensate. I also added dried thyme because I love the flavor. Other than that, I followed the recipe as posted. Next time I'll make it with the potatoes. My husband loved it.

Excellent soup. So easy to make and so very tasty. I did add some pepper and salt and a bit of fresh dill and I used 11/2 cups cheese. There will be repeats of this soup. Thank-you for posting this great recipe.

What a delish dish! To change it up just a tad I added a can of corn and some paprika. I also followed the advice of some other posters and added basil to it as well and it turned out great. A very filling dish that will become a favorite during the cold winter months ahead. Thanks for the recipe!
