This recipe is awesome. We no longer buy bread from the store and I have to make this at least once a day. It only took a few days for my family to adjust as this bread is sweeter than they were used to. Now when I try out new recipes everyone complains and I go back to making this one. My various adaptions include: olive oil, sea salt, unbleached flour/wheat flour combinations, vital wheat gluten and I add ground flaxseed meal to all my bread recipes. Very healthy, may need to increase water slightly though. I also don't bake this in the breadmaker, I transfer it to a breadpan, let rise and bake at 350. I don't know how long it takes though, I bake it by smell. This is fun to experiment with and almost impossible to mess up. Thanks so much.

My staple recipe. Because I have a 1LB bm, cut ingredients to: 1 TB oil, 2 1/4c bread flour, and 1 tsp yeast. Use regular/Light crust setting (3 hr, 30 min). Fantastic moist springy texture and just crisp crust.

Very good! I decreased the yeast by 1/4 tsp. as mine is the quick-rise kind. It worked perfectly. Will definitely make this one again.

Yummy!! This bread makes amazing french toast!! I used the medium white setting and it was a bit dark, so next time I'll use the light setting, thanks!

This is the best oat bread I have found on this website yet! I used 1.5 cups all purpose flour and 1.5 whole wheat to add some good nutrition. It turned out nice and fluffy. I love using it for peanut butter and banana sandwiches! Thanks for the recipe.

This is a true winner! This is the loaf I make all the time now for sandwiches and toast. I make it with half bread flour, half wheat flour. This is the best toasted, buttered, with organic honey drizzled on top. Yum!

This was so tasty and moist. I used two cups of white breadmaker flour and 1 cup of wheat with 1/2 tbs. of gluten. It turned out great right out of my bread machine.
