Add this to your list of favorites and you won't be sorry. So quick and easy to put together and no run to the store for an ingredient I didn't have. The smell alone was delightful. I served this with spagetti, salad and garlic bread. Everyone loved the tender, moist, flavorful chicken and went back for seconds. I used skinless, boneless thighs. I'm filing this recipe under "Quick, Easy, Delicious, Make Often".

My Gosh, Girl, this is a fantastic "Cacciatore" recipe! How easy can it get when all you have to do is toss everything in the crockpot, go about your business, and sit down to a super-duper meal! This goes to the top of my "Must Have List"! Thanks for posting a true winner! Laudee C.

This was great! I made it after seeing someone posted this was their FAV recipe on the TALK boards. I did change it a bit: left out the green pepper (as I don't like it); used 1 can tomato paste and one can chopped tomatoes, used some italian spice mix instead of the basil and celery powder (i was out of them). It was great. Hubby and I both enjoyed it. Super easy which is key. Will definatley make again!!!

I loved this recipe!! And so did my dh! I wanted it a little more saucy so I instead of the 2nd can of tomato paste I added a can of tomato sauce. Yummy! I can hardly wait to have it again.

A good throw together crockpot recipe. The smell just fulled the house. I really liked the addition of celery powder. I used skinless thighs. Everyone went back for seconds. I will make this one again. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

This was a great recipe. Even my picky teenager really liked it. Used celery seed instead of celery powder. Used skinless chicken, 2 Tbsp. olive oil and added 1 tsp. sugar. Prep time was more than 5 minutes. This is a definite keeper!

I am not rating this yet beause it hasn't actually been cooked yet, but I wanted to put a note here anyway. I threw all of this into a ziploc to freeze for some friends to have later. I used chicken broth instead of wine and about 2 1/2 pounds of chicken tenders. It was so easy to throw together for the crockpot or the freezer and all of those wondeful flavors I know will be perfect together. As soon as I hear how it tastes I will update my review. Thanks Tish!

This is a Great recipe. I didn't cut the chicken up I just put three chicken breasts in and after being in the crockpot for a while it just breaks apart anyway. I served it over whole wheat pasta and my husband loved it! I used white cooking wine and it tasted great! You will enjoy this recipe!! Easy too!

I thought this was tasty, but needed a bit more flavor. We added some salt and italian seasoning. It had a nice calm but tasty flavor. Yum. We cooked it in the oven istead of the crockpot, at 400 degrees for about 50 minutes. 40 with a cover, 10 without.

Delicious recipe! Very, very flavorful. I'd substitute red wine next time. The only thing I added was black pepper, to taste. My family didn't even notice that mushrooms were in there, otherwise they would have picked them out. Perhaps some sliced black olives might be a nice addition. I did add 1/4 cup of water as it was cooking just to be sure things didn't dry out. Prep time took me 20 minutes.
