I never would have believed you could make such an easy delicious cake in a crockpot! The sauce was the perfect compliment to this rich and fudgey cake. I prepared as directed, only using my 5 1/2 Qt. crockpot which still took 2 hours to cook. Vanilla ice cream would be perfect with this cake. Thank you Chrissy, for such a simple and simply delicious treat!

Good cake!!!! Thanks Chrissy,This cake is very good, not hard to make, and I am a chocoholic,so this is a very tasty addiction. But You Do need to let people know the SAUCE is on the bottom,i kept wandering if I had not read the recipe right, but when I ran my knife around the edges to loosen it ,I found the Sauce,It is Delicious too,I love anything that tastes like fudge. Thanks again, Darlene Summers

This turned out identical to a family favorite that I do in the oven, which is great!!! Now I will be able to put it on and walk away. Because of the similarities to the recipe I've traditionally used, I knew the pudding-like sauce would end up on the bottom (the cake floats up as it bakes). We dish it up, flipping the cake upside down into our serving dishes and then spoon some of the sauce over it. It turns out rich and moist...will definitely assuage a chocolate attack...Thanks for sharing this Chrissy!!!

Very easy to make and quite delicious. When serving, I put a piece of warm cake into a bowl, covered it with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, then spooned the sauce over the both. A great dessert. Thanks for posting.

Yummy and comforting. Just what I needed today. I left out the nuts and served with vanilla ice-cream. There was a generous amount of sauce and mine was cooked in 2 hours. Thanks Chrissy!

What a wonderful dessert! A light, dark chocolate cake with a rich creamy sauce (on the bottom). Even though I don't usually eat dessert, I'd rate this 6 stars if I could, because of it's ease and taste! It would be a great take-along dessert to a potluck supper. Using a 1-1/2 quart crock pot, I made only 1/2 of the recipeand cooked it 2 hours. It turned out perfectly, although I had a little more rich sauce that I thought necessary. Next time, I'll make the whole cake recipe and only 1/2 of the sauce recipe...and serve with vanilla ice cream. Your recipe woulld be much more clear, if you put SAUCE, then ingredients list, and CAKE, followed by ingredients list. And let people know that the sauce ends up on the bottom, as many people may wonder when making it the first time. Thanks for sharing this great crock pot recipe.

I had this recipe and lost it. I was so glad to find it again. I made it for the residents at the assisted living I work. The smell of it cooking made everyone want to try some. We served it with ice cream and they just loved it!!! Now they want me to fix it every week. Thank You for posting this wonderful recipe.

This was very easy to make and I love the fact that you can make it in a crockpot. I made it as directed except that I used a 5qt. crockpot. It wasn't as sweet as I had hoped, but was good paired with some vanilla icecream. Thanks for posting, Chrissy!

I've done a dish like this in the oven and it was good too. This, however, was great using the crockpot. Freed up the oven for other things and still gave us a great dessert. I served this with a bit of whip cream.

Wonderful! We had friends for dinner the other night, and one of them LOVES chocolate (and lots of it!) So I made this. It wasn't too big, not too small, a perfect size for the 5 of us eating. I was a bit concerned putting the very watery mixture on top of the batter, but it was perfect. Thank you for the recipe!
