Beautiful, puffy naan with the bread machine doing all the hard work! I added 1 tsp garam masala and 2 tsps fresh minced garlic for an extra kick. I will be using this one every time we make indian food!

This was so easy and good! I followed a lot of the comments, if you want it to be tasty like at restaurants, definitely add the garlic and garam masala or any other spices. I also brushed it with both salt water and butter after cooking, and think I could still have added a bit more flavor, like maybe some cilantro or mint or something also mixed in. I am just afraid of killing the yeast, so maybe a more flavorful topping. My 8 year old picky eater son used some raita for dipping and ate dinner saying "yum" over and over again. I also halved the recipe and followed the suggestion, adding quite a few TBSPs of water during the mixing phase. What makes this so great is how easy it is and how beautiful it looks after. The cooking timing was exact and the broiling was so excellent-I felt quite competent when I took them to the table in a basket and they looked so appetizing. I should have taken a photo for you, I didn't notice this recipe didn't have one. I will definitely make it again. I made it with the crockpot chicken vindaloo recipe (using the stovetop comment for cooking) and cannot say how easy the whole thing was.

I made this with nonfat milk, nonfat yogurt, and egg substitute. I turned out beautifully.

Like other reviewers, I didn't find this as tender as the restaurant stuff, but it puffed up nicely (could have stuffed it like pita bread!) and it tasted great too. Next time I will add some of the flavorings folks have recommended in their reviews, and maybe I'll brush it with butter afterwards. Thanks for posting!

Horrible. I followed the directions exactly and they were horrible. I LOVE naan. I was really hoping that this would be the perfect recipe. I have YET to find a naan recipe that worked. It could totally be me but this did not work.

This was my first attempt at naan & I followed other reviewers comments and made this with egg beaters, non fat milk & yogurt. I also added a tsp. of garam masala and a clove of minced garlic. It was not as tender as those in an Indian restaurant but puffed beautifully and I'm sure the degree of tenderness was due to the dietary changes I made with the ingredients. Delicious & so simple! Thank you Najwa for this simple recipe.

This was the "real deal" from an Indian restaurant. My entire family loved it. Only problem is, they tend to eat all of it rather than what it was served with!

I thought this recipe was fantastic. I've made it quite a few times now. It's a favourite at home with every indian meal we make.
