These are SO GOOD I cannot describe them! Kind of like Andes Mints, but thicker. I used white chocolate instead of the coating, and it worked extremely well. I also did all of my melting in the microwave on about 20% heat, which made it come out a little thick, but it did not affect the taste and texture after chilling. I also left out the food coloring, just because I forgot to add it. Thanks for the wonderful recipe! I will, without a doubt, be making this again! Probably for Christmas!

These are so delicious! I love simple recipes that pay back more in taste and presentation than the amount of labor put into them. I used the microwave to do the melting and also added a bit of shortening before I rewarmed the last layer of chocolate to make sure it would be thin enough to spread nicely. Thanks, Marg, for sharing this recipe!

So easy and so yummy. Definitely look and taste like more work than they really are. I used a double boiler, Baker's white chocolate squares and 2 teaspoons peppermint, and the taste was exactly like an Andes mint. I also did the regular chocolate in two even batches (1 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup condensed milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla) because I'm bad at estimating half; that way I didn't have to worry about it. Can't wait to share it with the rest of the family at Christmas! I recommend serving at room temperature.

These were great! The only thing I did different was to add 2 Tbs. of regular milk to the chocolate for the second coating. The second coating of chocolate appeared to be to thick to spread. I will be make more for Christmas give aways.

I really can't say anymore about the flavor of this candy than anyone already has, however this is my 3rd batch and here is what I did. First batch made per recipe. Beautiful and delicious. I decided though that I would be making 7 batches for a cookie exchange so wanted to expedite the process. Instead of layering and cooling, I dumped the second batch into the pan reserving a 1/2 of a cup of the chocolate. I then poured the mint on top and spread. I dotted the remaining chocolate on top of that and marbled! This was so much quicker and presentation was great. By the way, I did a 3rd batch on a whim using dark chocolate raspberry chips. Colored the vanilla candy red, actually pink and marbled that too. YUM! The moral of this story is you can do anything with a great recipe!!!

I made the mint layer with Guittard Mint flavored chips instead of the white candy coating; so I didn't need the extract or food coloring, they were already green. It worked perfectly and the fudge set up in about 30 minutes in the freezer. I will be making this again but I might want to experiment with different flavors for the center like orange or raspberry.

Very smooth and creamy. Will also try with 1/2 milk chocolate chips for more of a milk chocolate flare. Very easy to make!

These are really good! I couldn't find the white candy coating so I used white chocolate instead without any problems. You have to work fast making these and spreading the chocolate in the pan before it hardens. I made two versions of this - one with mint extract and green food coloring and another with red food coloring and strawberry extract. It was incredibly lovely, just like expensive truffles. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

I made these and brought a sample to my Mom's for our Christmas Eve celebration. She tried one and told me to "hide them in the fridge as they are not for general consumption". Out of all the holiday goodies, these were my absolute favorite. Followed the recipe exactly, but did use my microwave for the melting. Loved the creaminess and flavor. This has definately earned a permanant spot in my book — Thanks for a great recipe!!!!!!
