53 Reviews of Cinnamon Mocha Biscotti

Thanks for posting this one, Steve! I don't think we can get cinnamon chips in Canada so I subbed more chocolate chips. That's the only ingredient change I made. Also, I prefer regular sized biscotti, so I made my usual 2 logs (13" long by 2 1/2" wide). I only have a conventional oven so I baked them at 350 degrees for 25 min then another 20 minutes after slicing...they were perfect! I prefer crisp-hard biscotti as opposed to the rock-hard, MUST be dunked kind and these fit the bill. Thanks again. M&Mers

Ok.. yes... 5-star..BUT.. I made my 'rectangle' 5-inches x 10-inches. As AnnB said.. I would also split the dough and make two logs out of it. I used an 11x17 pan and used wet hands to shape the batter. If you want huge beautiful biscotti (like 1Steve says).. just make one loaf.. but.. I like to share with many coworkers and a dozen just won't cut it. So I would make 2 loaves side by side on a large cookie sheet. Oooohhhhh.. and how about dipping half in melted white chocolate?

These are great! I love the cinnamon-mocha-chocolate combination! I didn't have mini-chocolate chips, so I used the regular ones. However, that is the only change I made to the recipe. I have a conventional oven, so I baked them at 350°F for 30 minutes, then sliced them returning them to the oven for 7 minutes on each side. They were perfect!

Oh my, Steve, these really were spectacular. Thank you for sharing this recipe.I also made the recipe using 2 logs of dough for a more conventional sized biscotti. The dough was wetter than other biscotti that I have made, but it came out just fine. Chilling the dough for a half hour made it easier to handle. I prefer almonds to the pecans, so switched the type of nuts. I made them to take to church for a missions fund raiser. Now the devil on one shoulder & the angel on the other are duking it out to see if I really bring them or not. Maybe I'll compromise & just keep SOME of them for myself.

These are delicious! They have a nice, delicate cinnamon flavor that went over very well with everyone who tried them. I couldn't find cinnamon chips however, so I doubled the chocolate chips as well as doubling the ground cinnamon. I formed them into 2 rectangles on my big baking sheet, and cut them on an angle. They looked beautiful. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Wow! This the best biscotti I've ever had and that includes the stuff I've made! I used double the coffee granules because I wasn't sure how many years old they were and I've never heard of cinnamon chips. Used just choc chips. I'm going looking for a supplier of the cinnamon. Great recipie, easy, tasty. A keeper. And the ones that broke were good without being dried. I'll use these this next Xmas.

These were great! I couldn't find the cinnamon chips, so I used 1 cup of mini chocolate chips. I also doubled the instant coffee and cinnamon. These will be perfect to give out around the holidays.

I made these the other night and they're lovely. My first attempt at biscotti — never knew it was so easy! I substituted ground almonds for the pecans and had everything else (even the cinnamon chips — I stock up on them because they rock!). Only suggestion I would make is to put dough on cookie sheet in TWO narrow rectangle shapes. I did one and when it came time to slice and bak a second time, the dough hadn't yet hardened so several pieces broke in the middle. If they weren't so long, I don't think that would have happened. But great recipe, 1Steve! Thanks!

OMG these are so addictive!!! Thanks Steve for sharing. The cinnamon chips, coffee granules & chocolate chips make for a tasty combination. The only change I made was using black walnuts instead of pecans. Will definitely be making these again. My neighbors aren't very familiar with biscotti, these will really get them hooked.

This was my first time making biscotti and I was amazed at how easy they are to make. I bought a bag of the cinnamon chips for these and I'm glad I did. They were wonderful. I was going to share but I don't think so now. Thanks Steve.
