107 Reviews of Skillet Parmesan chicken

Very tasty and easier than the "old way" of making Chicken Parmesan. I used fresh mozzarella and bought some freshly grated Parmesan (not the canned stuff!) just for this. My daughter went ga-ga over it, and so did I. Very, very good. I used fresh linguine and we had Italian Asiago crusted bread along side - with butter, of course. Thanks for the great Monday night meal.

Ok everyone, throw out all your other chicken parm recipes--this is the only one you need. Fabulous! I cut the chicken into fillets rather than pounding out. Way easier and less messy, I think, lol. This is fast, easy, and delicious! Try to use fresh shredded parmesan if possible. What flavor! We had this with some tortellini on the side, and a fresh green salad. Even my kids liked this, so we'll be having this often. Thanks for a great recipe PanNan!

This was delicious, moist and easy! Much better than the oven version. I used Paul Newman marinara, the fresh mozzerella (although either would be ok I bet), angel hair and a glass of Merlot. A keeper - thank you so much!

Easy and yummy. I cut the breasts in three pieces and then sliced through the thick pieces instead of beating them. I increased the bread crumbs and Parmesan by half and doubled the oil and butter. After 5 had eaten their fill, we still have enough for another meal. Have everything organized, breading and frying keeps you hopping. We served with penne.

This was a very easy and such a yummy dinner for us. I did find some fresh mozzarella and it melted very creamy. I served this with salad, bread and a bottle of Merlot. Thanks to PanNan.

PanNan, my husband asked if I could give you more stars than the 5. He said this recipe deserved so many more! And he was right, it was wonderful and didn't take long at all to cook. I used some of my own sauce that I had in the freezer and asiago cheese instead of parmesean as I didn't have any of the latter. It gave it a little more of a stronger taste but we like cheese that is a little on the stronger side. Thank you again PanNan. I look forward to trying more of your recipes. Hugs, Susie

Oh, this is soooo good! I actually added another step to this marvelous recipe — and it was purely unintentional! I had taken two chicken breats out of the freezer and thawed them. We were going to have a very quick dinner, so I just marinated them in some Italian Salad Dressing — then it was to be on to the grill with them. We had unexpected company and our dinner never happened (pizza instead). Then I found this recipe the next day and decided to use the chicken. I patted it dry as much as I could and then proceeded with the directions. I also prepared the called for amounts of dipping and breading ingredients — but only did the two breasts. So I "douple dipped" them (into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumbs, back to the eggs and ended with the breadcrumbs). We loved the extra coating — and the chicken was so, so moist. If I can remember to plan ahead, I think I'll do the same thing and marinate the chicken in the Italian dressing for a few hours first. I can't wait to make this for some of our friends. Thank you so much for posting it. Bobbie

Add me to the list of fans of this recipe. The chicken is FANTASTIC! It was moist, fork tender, and the coating mouthwatering! I did add some more garlic powder to the bread crumbs, and used fresh mozzerella, which must not have been THAT fresh as it wasn't as creamy as I had hoped it would be. But even that could not spoil this fantastic dish that is as quick as it is delicious! A definite keeper!
