You know those thick, golden, crispy fries you had in the old fashioned diners when you were little? The ones you still dream about dipping in ketchup and eating the best french fry you've ever tasted? This is it! I absolutely moaned when I ate the first one. Thank you Steve!

These are truly the best french fries I have ever made or eaten! They're so easy to prepare, and easy to make. My mouth just waters when I think of them. Washing out the starch really worked! They were crispy on the outside and warm and tender on the inside. I will definitely make these again! Thanks!

no need to preheat the oven - i was busy demolishing them as soon as DH was turning them out of the pan. i am in a serious french-fries phase, and this goes a long way toward sating that craving. and DH loves this recipe too since he doesn't have to rush out to that fastfood megacorp whenever the craving strikes!

This are without a doubt, the BEST french fries I've ever eaten! I am stuffed right now, my husband and I almost cleaned off the whole batch by ourselves! Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe. I thought it was very easy to prepare; frying twice wasn't really any more work than frying once and the results are well worth any additional time spent on these. I followed the recipe exactly, I wouldn't change a thing. I did try malt vinegar as some suggested. I LIKE it! I have it on fish all the time, never tried it on fries before though. Thanks.

I used my Presto Cool Daddy fryer and these came out terrific. Used the oven to keep them warm, which was a big help since I can only make a small batch at a time. They were hot and crisp and yummy!

This is a great way to cook fries and makes for a delicious crispy fry! We have them often and they are always enjoyed. Sometimes I sprinkle seasoned salt on them for a change of pace. Delicious!

Double frying seems to be the key to really crispy delicious fries, and that's exactly what I got. I sprinkled with Tony Chachere's seasoning before frying and the flavor was great. Just a little pazazz to an ordinary french fry. Dipped in ketchup and some in malt vinegar. Yumm! Cindy
