106 Reviews of Baked Salmon

From: That girl Mel

On Jun 28, 2004

I have to be honest, I don't really like salmon. I make it because the rest of my family does like it and it is good for you. I'm constantly trying new things to try and make it something that I can at least tolerate and tonight we tried this one and my goodness, even I liked it! I actually had seconds and I never even usually finish the little bit I take! I was very skeptical, mayo and seasoned salt just didn't appeal to me much but I was wrong! Great job Toncats and thanks for a really good recipe!

Here's one that deserves more than 5 stars. On about 10-12 oz of salmon I used 2 tablespoons of mayo, 1/4 cup parmesan, about 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt and about 3-4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs. Very fine meal. Crunchy delicious topping.

This was a very easy recipe and the end result was super tender and flavorful salmon fillets!!! ***My measurements were as follows: 1 lb. Fresh Salmon (1 inch thick), 2 heaping teaspoons Miracle Whip, 2 heaping teaspoons Mayonaise, 1/2 teaspoon Morton Nature's Seasons Seasoning Salt, 1/2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash Chicken Grilling Blends, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder, 1/4 teaspoon Course Ground Black Pepper, 1/4 teaspoon Oregano, 1 pinch Kosher Salt, 1 tablespoon Seasoned Breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese and 1 Lemon half. ***I added the 1/4 teaspoon Oregano, 2 pinches each of the Garlic powder, Onion powder, Seasoned Salt and a 3 drops of Fresh squeezed Lemon juice on the Mayonnaise & Miracle Whip, mixed well and coated the salmon fillets (including the sides). ***Then I squeezed all the juice from the lemon half into a square 1 Quart glass baking dish BEFORE adding the Salmon, skin side down in the dish. ***I covered the dish with a plate and placed the dish in the fridge overnight. ***The next day, I mixed all the dry ingredients well. I LIGHTLY sprinkled the Salmon fillets with the mixture (Still had a little of the spices left over). ***Baked 40 minutes and thoroughly enjoyed the most moist, tender, flavorful Salmon fillets I have ever had!! ***Makes 2 servings for the greedy guests (myself included) OR 4 servings for most. Thanks for this super easy recipe Tonkats!!!

I printed this recipe a month ago.I finaly made it! I had very high hopes for this recipe, the reviews were so good. Now that dinner is done...... it was ok.I would advise to go easy on the mayo it has a strong flavor after its cooked. If i dident use so much mayo it would have been much better. The top was crusty and the fish was very tender and jucie.

This is an excellent recipe! I've made this several times. The only thing I didn't do was use Lowry's seasoned salt. I used regular salt and added a little pepper. I used fat free mayonnaise. I highly recommend this! Quick, easy and delicious! Mitzi J.

This was delicious, the mayo gave the salmon a lovely taste, and the topping had a great 'crunch' to it. =)

This was fantastic! Thank you! I used fat free mayo and then added orange juice to the pan...just enough to cover the bottom to keep it moist, plus it added a perfect touch of citrus. This was delicious.

Quick, easy, and delicious! To my dismay we were out of breadcrumbs - but the dinner still had to get on the table - so I took my aggression out on some pretzel rods and used the crumbs for the topping. Tasted great!

I like this! It's very simple to prepare using ingredients I always have on hand. The coating of mayonnaise seems to keep the salmon moist and adds a great flavor along with the other toppings. I made this exactly as the recipe stated.
