Had to add my review to the long list of happy eaters. This was great!! It was the moistest of all the cake mixes I've tried. I increased the vanilla and used all butter, awesome, awesome, awesome. Thank you.

When this cake came out of the oven, I couldn't believe I actually baked this! It was moist, fluffy, light, and "eggy". I must admit, this was the first sheet cake I've ever made and I've never tried the "betty" kind, tho having tried this I wouldn't go for the commercial kind in the future. I don't have a mixer, so I do everyhing by hand. it toke me a while to get the mixture free of lump before adding the eggs, but it was fun to do! I separated the eggs, beat the egg white til fluffy, and add the yolk then fold in whites (something I picked up from foodnetworkCanada). It wasn't hard to make at all! Most importnat of all, it lifts my curse as "queen of burnt baker" and gives me alot of confidence! Thank you SO MUCH. I just served the cake slices with strawberry+sugar syrup and alittle powdered sugar. I think frosting wouldn't do this cake justice. Thank you again MIssNEzzz!

After the rave reviews, I juat had to try this. Made cake as posted, but put about 1/3 of mix in another bowl. In the larger bowl I put in some orange essence, and in small bowl two tablespoons cocoa, with a smidge more milk. Put orange mix in pan and then dropped chocolate mix on top and swirled with a knife. Choc/orange is my daughter's choice and she loved it.! Moist, easy and adaptable.

The easiest, most delicious cake I have made in years! PERFECT every time - NEVER fails. Try using buttermilk instead of regular milk - it comes out just a bit richer

I made a few adjustments. I added a stick of butter instead of shortening. I creamed the butter with sugar and then added the dry ingred, alternatley with the milk ending with the dry. I loved the texture of this cake. It was very delicious. I think i might have over baked it a little as the edges were crusty so I will bake it for maybe 30 min next time instead of 35. I rotated the pan half way thru its baking time also. The surface wasn't domed which I hate with box mixes. It is sooo much better than a box cake mix and better for you.

This cake was definetly quick! 40 minutes start ot finish. I used butter instead of shortening, and 3 tsp of vanilla. I thought the cake was closer to a white than a yellow cake - kinda light yellow. The flavor was basic but good - even better the second day. My daughter wanted yellow cake with Cream cheese frosting for her birth day (I think chocolate would have complimented it better, but everyone liked it). I baked it in a 8"x11" pan - it was kind of thin anyway. I split and filled it - it split very easily using dental floss, nice crumb. I served it with sliced strawberries on the side which went really well. I would bake this again especially in if I was in a hurry.

I turned this quick and easy cake into a delicious pineapple upside-down cake! I simply replaced the milk called for in this recipe with pineapple juice and then added the standard pineapple/brown sugar/cherry topping. I took it to my dad's house last night and all I have left is a sliver. I think my BF ate half of it himself! Thanks MizzNezz for a recipe I'm sure to use often!

I made this cake and it was great! I had to add a little extra milk and used butter instead of shortening. Hubby thought is was a box mix. And it is quick.

I will never buy another box of cake mix again! This recipe was so good, hubby and I loved it. I have tried other homemade cake recipes but none were as moist as this one. Great flavor and very moist and extremely easy and fast to make!! Give it a try!
