The most incredible cookies I have ever had!! I substituted margarine for the shortening (as I had no shortening). Also added some nutmeg and allspice. These are light and fluffy and literally melt in your mouth. Good with or without the icing. Thanks for the recipe hlk.

Was easy to make. I subsituted canned pumpkin with pumpkin pie filling to give it more of a pumpkin pie taste, even put whipped cream on top! Also added a dash of nutmeg. It was very, very good!

Last year my friend asked me to make him chocolate chip pumpkin cookies for his birthday.I'd never heard of them, so I started looking for recipes. This is the 3rd one that I tried and I think its going to be the keeper!
I made this with butter instead of shortening and added milk chocolate chips instead of using the frosting. They turned out really well! I wanted to add nutmeg but didn't have any on hand, so I'll try that next time .

We made a lot of cookies for our hall in our dorm and these were the first to go, they're delicious. We used margerine instead of shortening and the cookies were really fluffy and delecious. Made a few with chocolate chips which added a different flavor. Didn't make the icing but they were perfect with a glass of milk.

These cookies were a hit at the holiday potluck, everyone loved them! The cookies were just like little cakes, and easy to make. The cookie by itself I would say was a bit plain and could've used a bit more spice; the frosting was way too sugary for my tastes, but combined together they made one heck of a scrumptious cookie!!!!

These were really good. I just finished baking them about an hour ago, and my mother and sister loved them. I didn't make the icing with them, since I don't have much powdered sugar or milk on hand, but they're still really great. I also added about two teaspoons of Pumpkin Pie spice, to add a little bit of pumpkin pie flavor. Thanks for the recipe! ^^

These cookies are yummy! Just had to tweak the cooking times a bit. It required a few extra minutes than the recipe calls for.

I'm not even done making these yet - still in the baking process - but so far I'm having to force myself not to consume them as they roll out. So fluffy and delicious. I used half regular flour and half whole wheat, and earth balance spread instead of shortening. So good. They could use a little more spice, but that's easily remedied next time - and there will be a next time.
