since there are only 2 of us . i cut the recipe in half.since my carrots weren't really that sweet to start,i ended adding about another 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.with that addition this recipe really does taste like Cracker Barrel carrots.this will be made again.thank you for posting.

    I too used to waitress at Cracker Barrel for several years, and I happen to know that they use brown sugar instead of plain sugar. Makes it a little sweeter.

    I made these last night and they were pretty good. I did have to add a little more sugar. I dont think my baby carrots were as naturally sweet as they could have been. Thanks for posting.

    We took the kids to Cracker Barrel, and they loved the carrots. When I saw this recipe, I had to try it! The carrots were fantastic, and were gone in no time! Thanks for sharing, Junebug!

    These were very tasty. At the suggestion of another reviewer I used brown sugar instead of white. The carrots were the first thing to disappear off the kids' plates!
