Oh yummy! My husband "doesn't like sweet potatoes" until now! I used 2 sweet potatoes, 1 tsp of olive oil, splenda instead of brown sugar, salt substitute and stayed with the 1/4 tsp cayenne even though I had only 2 potatoes. This is also our, and especially my; favorite sweet potatoe recipe. Thank you very much.

This is a regular in our home. My family loves these, and the only way my DH will eat sweet potatoes. A nice balance of sweet and spicy. I have usually baked this at 350 degrees, but will try it next time at the higher temperature, which probably gives more carmelization. This is the perfect side dish for grilled meats. Thanks for posting it NurseDi.

YUMMY! Loved the sticky coating that formed on the potatoes. I have a silicone sheet I use at the bottom of the roasting pan but if you don't have one of them, I would definitely suggest to use foil for easy clean-up.

Excellent! I have mixed several batches of the dry ingredients together(with some cinnamon added) and I store it in a large spice bottle. I make just one yam at a time for the two of us, so I toss it with the oil and 2 Tbsp of the mixture and they're ready for the oven!

I made these potatoes last night and needless to say there was none left. I coarsley chopped a medium size vadallia onion and added 1 tsp of chili pepper flakes to the ingredients you listed. It was sweet, hot and wonderful... Tthank you so much Beachgirl for posting this dish.

I think I will use Kosher salt next time to bring out the salt, just a personal preference. I must have picked out extremely large sweet potatoes, we had to double the coating to cover all our cubes. I really liked them and will make them again.

These were so good! The combination of sweet and spicy was perfect. I did cut down on the cayenne, using just a few shakes. Roasted them for about 45 minutes and they were nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

These are great!!! The seasoning is perfect! They are hot...but not too hot and the sugar really calms down the burn. These would be wonderful with Caribbean dishes!!!! I am planning on making these again! Thanks NurseDi!!!!

A wonderful combination of spicy & sweet. No one could resist this creative dish. I used regular chili powder, as directed, but next time I will try using the pure chile powder with the cayenne to see if there is much difference. The color was lovely, which tempted all of my diners. This recipe was great and a big hit! Thanks Di for sharing!!!!

Thanks, ratherbeswimmin', for another great tasting recipe. My sister loves sweet potatoes, but I was getting a little tired of just baked sweet potatoes. These will give me a wonderful respite from them. Again, thanks for posting.
