This made a yummy lunch today! I chopped the celery up in the food processor, worked great! Thanks Andi! Made for the Australian Recipe Swap-June 2009.

Had this for lunch today...very tasty! I love the fact that the salad calls for mustard as I always use it in my tuna salad. We did add a bit more celery and I tripled the amount of hot pepper sauce because you couldn't tell it was added otherwise. Even my DD who does not like tuna sandwiches said she would eat this one! Made as a Recipenap for the 29th AUS/NZ Recipe Swap.

Woweee....another yummyiness to put on my salads I have most nights for my supper. I get sick of the samo samo and this is perfect and oh so good for you too. I definitely don't get enough fish in my diet or protein either for that matter being a vegetarian. The only thing I omitted was the onion as DS's don't care for it on their sammy's. I upped the ingredient amounts as I was using a 7oz. can of albacore tuna. Of course I had to add the tabasco for DS's
. I'm glad you shared this recipe from your MIL Andi...Thanks~

I love tuna salad sandwiches and Andi your MIL's recipe....so very good! Used a large pouch of tuna and I enjoy the crunch of celery so I added a bit more. Not a fan of onion in my tuna salad so I used onion powder and also added more fresh ground black pepper. The two drops of Tabasco were enough for me, I am a wimp. I had romaine lettuce on hand, added a thin slice of tomato and than topped with the chives. Will make this again! Thank you sweetie for sharing this recipe with us! Made and reviewed for the Australian/NewZealand Forums Recipe Swap #29.

Oh my! This is a wonderful tuna salad!!! We had this for our first lunch on the deck!
What a wonderful way to celebrate spring! I put our tuna salad on jumbo croissants, and had baby carrots along side. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe Andi! I will use this from now on to make oh so delicious tuna salad! Updated to add ~ DH requested this delicious tuna salad for lunch again today. I didn't have any crisp lettuce, but that was ok, wonderful anyway on fresh made Black Russian Bread.

I cannot rate this recipe yet, but will after I make it. I just wanted to throw in a little tip I learned recently. When buying canned tuna, give each can a small shake next to your ear, the cans that are full of tuna will slosh very little, while the others will sound like liquid. Try it...save yourselves some money!

I used grainy Dijon mustard, omitted the onion. I added more mayonnaise cause it was too thick. And then I decided to add honey mustard to give more taste. It's very good, thanks Andi

This is almost identical to my mom's recipe except that she adds some finely chopped pickle. if you are so inclined, you can use dill or sweet pickle relish. If not, just omit it. Some folks use a bit of cajun seasoning (ie Tony Chacere) instead of tabasco sauce. Either way, it is good and spicy!
