This recipe was very good. The texture turned out light and airy - almost like store bought. I used honey instead of molasses and added about 1/4 cup wheat germ. It's wonderful with thin sliced cheese, or chicken salad. This also inspired me to create a pecan bread recipe that turned out great, as well. I'll post it to share.

This makes a wonderful loaf of bread which slices easily. The only change I made is that I used a packet of instant maple flavored oatmeal, because I had run out of my regular oatmeal. I also used quick rise yeast with this recipe for the first time and it worked very well. This bread makes a great sandwich, and I used it for French toast this morning - oh, yum! I could easily sit down and eat the rest of this with a little butter, no problem!!

The first time I made this I made it exactly as directed and it turned out pretty good. This time I substituted 1/4 cup oat bran for 1/4 cup of the bread flour but otherwise made as directed and I think I liked it just a little bit better. I spread it with butter and used it to dip in tomato soup. Delicious.

This is a wonderful bread and easy to make! Much better for you than the highly processed breads that you buy in the store!

This was fantastic!!! dad loved this hearty bread...and he is the guru of healthy heavy breads. I did substitute the same amount of oatmeal for bran...just because dad wanted that instead. Other than that I followed it to the T. And it is good! A healthy and tasty choice!

This is an excellent bread. I made it last night, substituting pecans for the walnuts as that is what I had and it turned out wonderful. Nice texture and flavour. Slices easily. I am very pleased with the results. Thanks!

I had used 1 cup of hazelnut (skinned and roasted) instead of 3/4 cup of walnuts and honey instead of molasses. The bread turned out flavourful and is soft yet firm. It is a healthy bread which I can enjoy without feeling guilty. Thanks so much for the recipe.

This was very good. I used sunflower seeds instead of walnuts and thought the bread was perfect. Thank you for sharing. Will definately make again.

Superb recipe for outstanding bread! I increased walnuts to full cup but made no other adjustments and bread came out beautifully here at 6,000 ft altitude. Thanks for great recipe!
