Excellent, easy, and flavorful. They do brown quickly. I also add fine crushed parsley and onion powder. I make these any time I have too much bread because the bread will sit there untouched while these don't last.

Oh my, what garlic goodness! I took an extra step and heated the olive oil with the garlic in it over a low flame for about 5 minutes, just to infuse the oil. I used leftover cheddar tabasco bread and also sprinkled parmesan cheese on them. I didn't add salt because of all the cheese. These are the best croutons I've ever had!

Believe it or not, I'm ashamed to say I've never made my own croutons... usually just buy a box! I was having a friend for lunch and realized I was out of croutons for the Caesar salad, so I decided to try this. Wow... these were wonderful and so easy to make. I guarantee you I'll never buy another box of croutons! Thanks for posting this, Derf! These will be made often in our house!

I love trying different recipes for homemade croutons. The directions were simple and clear. I smashed the garlic with 1/2 tsp. table salt, since I didn't have kosher salt. I used 3 slices of white bread and they cooked in about 10 to 12 minutes in my oven. To others who might try this recipe, watch them closely in the oven, they do brown rather quickly. Excellent recipe Derf, thanks for sharing.

Good flavor. I had dried minced onions on hand so I added about 1 tablespoon of those to the oil mixture. It makes no sense to purchase croutons when you can make these tasty ones for just pennies.

Excellent flavor - just enough garlic. I used a country Potato loaf and it did not hold even shapes to the croutons. Usually I use a firmer white bread. They taste wonderful and that's what counts. Thanks Derf as always a great recipe.

I`m not a fan of croutons but my husband is, so I made them for him and end up eating it to. I used sundried tomato bread. These came out fabulous. Very easy!

A nice basic crouton recipe, simple to do but a good, full flavor that goes with a wide variety of foods. Beats commercial croutons hands down! I used dried cubes from a loaf of French bread and it worked quite nicely. Thanks, Derf!

I can't believe I've waited so long to make my own croutons. I usually just grab a bag from the grocery shelf. Why????? Now that I've tried your recipe Derf, there's no turning back. So easy and the flavour is wonderful. I did add 1 tsp each of fresh ground black pepper and dried parsley. Thanks so much for changing my bad habit. lol
