46 Reviews of Brown Sugar Bacon

This was a holiday tradition in my family growing up. We "coated" the bacon with the brown sugar first (kind of patting it in on both sides) and then bake at 250°F for about an hour, pouring off the grease as needed. The results are a candy-coated bacon that melts in your mouth. We call it Candied Bacon and I adore it! Glad someone thought to post it here.

Love bacon made in this way, very similar to another zaar recipe Ive tried, the flavour is great. Like honey cured, delicious. Thanks for posting.

The best way to cook bacon! I brushed the bacon with dijon mustard and gave it a genorous coating of dark brown sugar. Cooked exactly 10 minutes & clean up was easier than cooking bacon on the stovetop. Just toss the parchment paper & enjoy. I don't think I can serve bacon any other way!

We make our bacon something like this and it is great! I sprinkle the brown sugar on after the bacon is on the foil lined cookie sheet. Then, we sprinkle cayenne and fresh ground pepper. We get a nice thick bacon from the butcher. You must keep an eye on it, the sugar can burn quickly. Must try this!

This was very good! It was a bit sweet for my tastes, so I will decrease the amount of sugar the next time I make these. And there will be a next time.

This 5 star review is brought to you by all my family members!! I served this bacon for Christmas Brunch yesterday. It was very well received. My brother exclaimed: WHAT DID YOU DO TO THIS BACON? I was afraid he didn't like it but he REALLY liked it! Besides the flavour, the brown sugar carmelized & made a delicious texture, too.

I never would have thought that brown sugar on bacon would taste SOO GOOD! I made this on Christmas Eve for breakfast and it was a hit!! Everyone loved these. I did bake them at 250 for about hr and they were wonderful!! The parchment paper works awesome, I didn't even drain the fat, I just let it bake and took the bacon off and threw away the paper! No mess!! Easy clean up!!

My family loved the bacon cooked this way. I only used 1/4 cup of brown sugar and it was still the best bacon we have ever tasted!!!
