This is the best coffee cake! I have not had an Entenmann's before, but it definitely has a commercial bakery look and taste. It rises full in the pan and there's a high crumb topping. The cake part is moist (not dry and crumbly) and has a buttery vanilla taste. My teenaged son (who is pretty blase about quick breads, etc) was down right shocked when he first exclaimed and then proclaimed this the best coffee cake he's had in his life. I will be making this cake a lot.

This cake was delicious! I made it this morning to take to work for our weekly "Friday Breakfast" and everyone liked it! The cake was moist and the topping was crunchy. Wouldn't change a thing! Will definitely make again!

I reviewed this last month and since then I have tried making it with a layer of Raspberry Jam in between the batter and the crumb and it was excellent. I was afraid the Jam might be too heavy and sink so I added just a thin layer. I also added about 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of water to the jam and stirred it really well to get any clumps out of it before spreading it on top of the batter. It came out excellent. The next time I make it, I will pay more attention to exactly how much jam I used and will repost with my exact measurements.

Yum!! This cake is so good! I'm not real big on sweets, but I've always loved crumb cake and pound cake. This does taste just like the store bought cake that I love..( I love to cook, but baking is not my thing) The best part is that all of the ingredients are staples that I always have on hand.. so no special trip to the store! I am definately writing this one down in my personal recipe book. Thank you so much for submitting this!

I HAVE to give this five stars as my Mum absolutely loved it...I think she must have repeated it 10 times while she was eating it! It reminded us a bit of the "streusel kuchen" that we used to get in Germany. Thanks!

This was very good. Glad I scaled down the size though as we would have ate the whole large pan. Will make when we have company. Thanks for a great treat.
