Have had these at other people's parties and had to make some myself so of course I browsed the zaar for the recipe and this one stood out for ease & fewest ingredients. I wasn't disappointed (making these is way too easy!)..neither were the samplers at the party I took them to...funny thing is, that plate emptied in no time at all, just like the other reviewers experienced...must be something to that after all! BTW, I used parchment paper on my baking tray which kept the little darlings from sticking.

What a great alternative to bacon wrapped oysters (en brochette). I love those but some people freak out on the oyster idea. So, I made some non-seafood appetizers like this and they sure went quick. I brought them out onto paper towels to make sure no hot grease was pocketed away! The crunchy sweetened water chestnuts are awesome. Thanks in helping me please everyone!

I made these appetizers for our couple's Bible study get together at Christmas time. I only made one batch. They were gone instantly. When our Valentine's Day get together was approaching these were requested. I also found out that they had been made by several couples in the mean time. They are so easy and everyone loves them.

Just wanted to say - I have been making these for many years and they always disappear quickly! If you haven't tried them and like a sweet/salty appetizer, then these are for you!!!!!

I made this as an appetizer for a holiday dinner and they were fantastic! Everyone gobbled them up and asked for the recipe. Next time I will line the pan with foil because it was a huge mess to clean up!

I needed a healthy snack recipe with a "W" for an event and I made this using turkey bacon and instead of baking in oven cooked in microwave as the package directed for the bacon. They were gone in a flash

These were fantastic! I have always loved water chestnuts, but I would never have thought of pairing it up with Bacon. But man! These little babies were wonderful!! The saltiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the waterchestnut made a wonderful combination together. I see myself making them often. Thanks Merlot!

Thanks for the memories--my mom used to make this appetizer and it's great! She added 1 teaspoon mustard, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, and 2 teaspoons butter to the soy sauce and brown sugar. Very satisfying!

I made this over the weekend for an appetizer when family came over. These are so delicious, and as you suggested I made them ahead of time and just popped them in the stove before eating. I cooked mine a little longer than written, but I wanted to get the bacon very crunchy. These are great and everyone finished up the plateful in just a few minutes. Thanks for posting this recipe!
