53 Reviews of Steak with Blue Cheese Butter

Karen, This is just so crumpish. A simple and easy recipe that is big on flavour. The blue cheese added a real delicious flavour to the steak. My daughter isn't a steak lover but boy did she woof this down quickly. I cut back on the amount of margarine I used. Also, I used low sodium and low fat margarine. Honestly, you just have to try this recipe. If you are not a lover of blue cheese, you can get milder versions of blue cheese. Thank you, Karen, this is a real keeper to please the steak eaters in the family.

Thanks Karen In California for a great cook-out recipe. It was easy to make the butter ahead and it was so good. I did add another clove of garlic 'cause I thought is sounded good at the time...and it was! We really enjoyed our meal, and we take our hats off to you for posting it. Thanks! Ann

Wait.......SIX ingredients... and all that TASTE? How can that BE? And why am I capitalizing random WORDS? :P This, Karen, was sooo good! I used ribeyes because they were on sale and fresh basil from our monstrous basil trees in the backyard. (Honestly, they're fricken huge and have trunks, not stems and branches.) Mixed it all up at room temperature, then I froze the butter in a silicone mold of heart-shapes. Ivo ate about 4 hearts! Seriously, I thought he was gonna coat himself in it, he was so ecstatic. I mean, I was too, but I limited myself to 2 hearts so I could look superior to him. lol I took a bunch of photos, but none I loved, so you're getting too many. Thank you for an absolute ~ENCORE~ cookbook addition that easily earns its high rating, Karen!

Really good. And I don't normally like blue cheese. The recipe makes a ton though - we halved it and still had way more than needed for 2 steaks.

Great stuff!!! Made this Memroial Day weekend. Simple preparation. Tastes like something you'd find at a fancy steakhouse. Going to try it on lamb next.

Really nice butter on stake, and there's enough for 8 stakes, anyway. I used 4 cloves garlic and plenty coarsely ground black pepper.

This is the best! My DH and I love bleu cheese on steaks and have tried many ways to prepare the topping. This is our favorite. Very simple and tasty. I used dried parsley because I didn't have any fresh, and it was terrific. Thanks for sharing!

Simple and delicious. What more can you ask for in a recipe? I like the butter on broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus too which all together makes a great low carb dinner. I also love it because this is one of those great recipes that once you've made it once its so simple you don't need to keep referring to the recipe, you can just chuck it together. Thanks.

This was very good. I used some on Texas Toast and baked it. Yummy.
