Next time I make this I will make sure I'm feeding a larger crowd because it sure makes alot. I used 1/4 cup of butter to saute my vegetables in. I also added 1 medium sized apple, peeled and chopped (granny smith). I mixed my spices with my sauted vegetables,I read a article in a "Cooking With Herbs Cookbook" that you should always cook you spices, brings out the flavour etc.I also recommend you cut back the liquid to a cup and a half, four cups is just to much.Delicious!

A winner like usual Dancer. The amt. of butter wasn't included in recipe ingredients so I used 1/2 c., and really only needed 3 c. of vegetable broth. The only change I would make would be to decrease the salt, we found it on the salty side. Very odd for my DH to comment on a 'stuffing' recipe, so when he said the stuffing was good, my jaw nearly dropped! Thanks Dancer-will be making this one again!

Thats it for the boxed stuff and for pushing stuffing up the bird's you know what!! This was so simple and good. I used a lot of fresh sage (cuz I have a ton of it in my yard and I like it) and chicken stock instead of veggi stock. Made lots for freezing and using in other creative ways later. Thanks again Dancer^

I've made this twice now. The first time I was not too impressed but I tried it again last Sunday for Thanksgiving and it was pretty darned good. I cut back on the liquid used at first and then tested it an hour before serving when I added about another 1/4 cup of broth. There were no leftovers and everyone loved it. Thanks for a perfect stuffing recipe. Made my Sunday Thanksgiving a whole lot easier. Will be doing this one from now on.

This was perfect for our huge Thanksgiving pot luck dinner. I was busy all day preparing other things for the dinner so it was perfect to pile all the stuffing in the crock pot in the morning and not think about it until meal time. The outside was crunchy and the middle mushy so it pleased everyone. The crock pot was scraped to the bottom!

Made this for a potluck at work.....everyone liked it a lot (probably the most of anything I've ever brought). I used only 2 cups of chicken broth (store out of vegetable) & made sure the bread cubes were REALLY dried out.

I made this for Thanksgiving. It is very easy to make and very flavorful. For my taste, I will cut down on some of the spices. Also I used 2 cups of chicken broth instead of 4 and found it to be moist enough for me. This recipe was nice because it allows me to use the oven for other dishes. I will use this again next year.

Excellent flavor and texture. Not only is this an easy recipe that saves space by using a crockpot, vegetarians and carnivores alike can enjoy this dish. I started out using 3 cups of broth, and added about 1/2 cup more about two hours before the stuffing was served.

I have always bypassed crockpot Stuffing recipes. I just couldn't imagine how stuffing made in a crockpot could be any good at all. However my family got together for Christmas last night. I was running short of time for usage of my oven, so I tried this recipe. I used 6 cups crumbled corn bread, and 6 cups crumbled biscuits instesd of the stale bread crumbs. I also substituted chicken broth for the vegetable broth. This was as good as any cornbread stuffing I have ever made, and left my oven open for other items. Will definitely be adding this to our holiday traditions! Thanks for sharing.

Delicious! I made this for a Thanksgiving potluck at work and it was wonderful even though I skipped the thyme and poultry seasoning (out of) and upped the amount of sage a bit. I also used fresh mushrooms instead of the canned and added a bit of garlic. No leftovers to bring home. Thanks for sharing!
