This is a DELICIOUS recipe, literally BURSTING with flavor. I hate to sound like a commercial, but it's true. I addded an extra cup of carrots and chicken broth, and about 2 extra cups of turkey, and it was YUMMY. No need for salt or pepper, the rest of the seasonings took care of that. Thanks, Tammy this is a real winner.

Great way to use up left over turkey! I actually used left over roast chicken and left out the mushrooms (my husband doesn't like them). I also added one teaspoon each of the salt and pepper. Good tasty hot soup! Great with a dinner roll! Easy recipe to make. The only set back was that I expected the recipe to make a little more so I could make it last a little longer. It made about 4 (1 cup)servings so I would recommend doubling this recipe. Very good soup!

I have my own tried and true recipe, but this recipe intrigued me, I had never added sour creme and milk before to mine. Adds a creaminess to the broth.

This is an excellent recipe! I used a turkey carcass for the meat, the broth from the carcass instead of the chicken broth and I added chicken bouillon to that. I used half and half instead of milk and used additional garlic.

This was my first attempt at making soup from a homemade stock I had made. I adapted the recipe for use in a crockpot and used thyme instead of rosemary and omitted the mushrooms because I didn't have either. I also didn't have whole milk so I used half cream and half 2%. It turned out WONDERFUL!!! We all loved it. I will definitely be making it again.

My whole family enjoyed this soup. Easy to put together. I used broth from a turkey I cooked. Thanks Leslie!

Fantastic! I will use this recipe over and over. Like many of the others using this website, we sometimes have to make modifications. I did not add celery, but added some red onion, and fresh spinach towards the end. I also used leftover fresh herbs from Thanksgiving, (thyme and sage). A most fabulous base recipe which anyone can enjoy to the max. Thank you so much for helping me with the leftover turkey! You're an angel!
