369 Reviews of Peach Cobbler

From: Graybert

This was absolutely delicious!! It was very easy to prepare and I had all the ingredients on hand. I have never made a peach colbler before and this one will definately be a repeat in my home!! I may cut back a wee bit on the sugar next time. As well, it only took 30 minutes to cook to a golden brown for me. Served it with French Vanilla Ice Cream - Yummy!!!

Made this for work lastnight and there is none left!!!! Very good and simple to make. I left out the nutmeg and used fresh peaches instead of canned, turned out lovely!

This is certainly not your traditional peach cobbler recipe, but it surely is a tasty and simple variation! With all the 5 star reviews, I knew it would be a sure hit! I used 4 large fresh peaches for the filling using 1/4 tsp almond extract to enhance their flavor. I also added a handful of fresh blackberries and raspberries to add a little color and texture. The flavor was superb. Otherwise, I followed Suellen's steps to a T for an excellent cobbler : ) Thanks, Suellen, for this delicious dessert. I look forward to having it again tomorrow ; )

This was a really good dessert. I cut back to 1/2c. sugar in both the crust and the peaches - it was plenty sweet enough doing that. The next time I make it I might add another smaller can of peaches to the 28oz. can to get the proportion of crust to fruit right - I'd like to see more peaches with all the crust. The nutmeg was good in this along with the cinnamon - gave it lots of flavor. I'll be making this again.

The taste of this recipe is wonderful! I love anything peaches! I DO NOT suggest using a smaller pan! I used a 9x9 inch pan and I think it made the cake part not turn out right because the butter wasn't spread out like it would have been using a 9x13. I give myself one star for ruining a good recipe! I added more peaches to this recipe, because I am a peach nut! This is a very good recipe and the flavor was very good! Thanks for posting this, next time I will follow the recipe and just add more peach. Please don't try the 9x9 inch pan unless you are cutting the recipe in half.

What a great, easy dessert, anytime of the year. I made this in a round cakepan and served it with whipped cream on a beautiful cake stand. How impressive. I used 1/2 c sugar for the cake part and 1/4 c sugar for the peaches. It was still wonderful. Thanks to the chef.

After I got this cobbler in the oven, it occurred to me that I shouldn't have included the peach juice when mixing the peaches and spices.....much to my husband's delight. He loves any kind of cobbler, but he particularly loved this one. If you like sauce with your cobbler, try making the same mistake as I did. It's delicious, and so easy and quick to prepare. I might even try it without the juice some time.

YUM!! I did add more peaches, an additional 15 oz can, drained (I used the kind in juice - NOT heavy syrup)and I am so glad I did...it would have been too much cobbler, not enough peach! I also used 1/2 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. white sugar for the batter. Next time I'll also cut the butter in half AND the amount of sugar used w/ the peaches. (I'll also make it brown sugar) But overall - YUMMY!

-OH-MY-GOSH!! This was SOOOO GOOD!I already can't wait to make this again! I wanted a comforting type dessert such as a crisp or a cobbler and this recipe came to mind, (it was among the very first recipes that went into my cookbook!) I knew I did not have the peaches and that I would have to make a trip to the store.... and it was definitely worth my while!! I followed the recipe and I did not find it overly too sweet....guess I must have a sweet tooth too!!!! I may be tempted to add some more peaches sometime in the future, maybe a 14 oz. can to go along with the 28 ounces that it calls for. But it certainly is fine as is, especially if it is all you have on hand. We had this warm with vanilla ice cream and it was sooo yummy! I love it when something so unbelieveably easy tastes so great! I want to make it for company now! I am sure it would have them thinking you fussed over it much more than you actually did!! This will definitely be made many times over around here! Thank you so much Suellen for a FABULOUS recipe!

This has got to be one of the best peach cobblers I have ever tasted. My daughter wanted to try to make a cobbler from scatch and I suggested search Zaar. She found this recipe and used fresh peaches instead of canned. It did take about 10 minutes longer to cook but the results were wonderful. It has a very buttery tasting crust that practically melts in your mouth. Thanks for the recipe. My daughter was very proud of her efforts.
